On an iPad, every single time I use the highlighter, all three of the Wikipedia, dictionary, and translate boxes pop up. I also have the kindle app on my phone and this doesn’t happen. There, the boxes are only triggered if I click on already highlighted text. But on the iPad, this happens every single time I use the highlighter. It happens if I use my finger or the Apple Pencil 2. It happens with different books. There are no settings for this feature so you can never turn them off.
It’s very annoying.
Much better than I expected. On the Kindle device the text and lighting and layout is easy on the eyes. The ability to get any book any time, the ability to read a sample to find out if you like a book before you buy it. You can let it track words you look up to go over them later and truly build your vocabulary. The storage of notes and easy export of those is really handy. It’s just a really good tool. It ties you to Amazon but, for me, that drawback is drowned out by the other benefits.
The ease and simplicity of paying a subscription and having access to a plethora of content, styles and new as well as old material makes it easy for me to sit down wherever I am and whenever I feel the need for a distraction and continue my addiction to reading. Thank you for providing this service. Please continue to keep the subscription fee low so that more people can enjoy good reads.
i’m coming from the kobo app. the kindle app is just as intuitive to use. i think the highlighting feature is a little simpler (easier) on the kindle.
the typo reporting feature has a bug though: the font color and background color are both black so you can’t see what you are typing.
but i rarely use that feature, so it’s not a big deal for me.
Great refresher for students of philosophy needing a recap on what they studied at university years ago. Assuming they were paying attention, of course. Situates Pierce nicely in the canon, and treats this smaller overview of his work with humility in the face of the newer Gesammtwerk.
Simply Awesome!! Recommend to all reader’s who enjoy their all night books, Rainey Days and page turners. Easy setup and easy configuration…5-Stars all the way!!!

Remove “still thinking about this book” notices. I am gonna buy a book after I’ve read a sample and decided I would like to read it. Pestering me about it is not helpful. Please stop spamming. This is a book reading app. It should have zero notifications.
See title. One improvement could be the app icon - it’s not very modern compared to other designs (eg. iBooks). I also fine that having the kindle store right on the home page of the app is distracting and looks cluttered.
Amazing, delicious, easy recipes that use common pantry ingredients. Affordable to enjoy everyday. Grateful to have the ability to provide everyday foods back into the house that are egg-free and allergy safe.
I do love having the kindle app on my phone, tablet and etc. but it ridiculous that I can’t purchase books from the app on any of my Apple products I have 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
