Rated 4.7 out of 5 is false advertising. If you look at the reviews 95% of the players have rated this game a 1 star. I haven't even seen too many 3-4 star ratings so how can it be rated a 4.7?
This game is a HUGE $$$ money grab.
The first few days, you are very lucky but as soon as you get to Level 15, all of a sudden you hit on an extreme losing streak. The computer bots appear to get the exact cards they need and go out before you even have a chance to play 1 hand. If you want to continue to play and complete the rounds you have to spend your money in order to do so or wait a very long time to accumulate enough energy to proceed. Unfortunately, the computer bots are on both the Journey and Multi-player platforms so you can't avoid them.
The Developer has said the cards are a random draw but that is false. It is mathematically impossible for the computer bots to get as many winning hands as they do unless the game is rigged.
I love playing the real game with my family and was very happy to see it available through the Apple Store but I am now deleting the game from my iPad and guarantee you will too once you play this game for about 1 week.
I’ve actually not found the bots to be “as rigged” as others have stated. I do find they get dealt A-LOT of skip a turns which are conveniently always played on you, but I also find I get ample play time as well. I actually really enjoy this game there are just a few things I can’t figure out...
I am frustrated that I don’t know how to use some of not “benefits”. I get Tweedle dee & tweedle dum to “help” but they don’t do anything and I can’t figure out how to use them (if I can...) they just sit there for the round.
I am also collecting a significant amount of coins that I can’t figure out how to use.
I’ve been playing this card game for more than 20 years and although I do enjoy the new phases that the card games doesn’t have.
This app version is not set up to be fair some phases are almost impossible to finish unless you buy the extras ... and as soon as you buy some be prepared for no success unless you keep buying! It’s a total money grab! I think I’ll just take the new phases and add them to my card game I can play with my friends and family and delete this “free” app that wants my money more than it wants me to have fun!
Stick to the card game ... and save yourself the money and frustration of this app!!
First “world” is alright, though as someone else said the whole “money” thing is ridiculously inadequate.
By the second world, the games are rigged against you. Every single bot player lays down before you even have a turn to play, ending the round and costing you precious funds.
I don’t need that kind of frustration for a game. Removed.
The developers respond that the cards are random. That may be...that’s not the problem.the preponderance of wildcards in opponent hands does seem to be an issue, but it’s the truly awful “5 coins per round, even if you lose and didn’t even have a turn” is what poisons the game.
Honestly the game was fun at first but then the bots started to always win. The algorithm for the cards being dealt is no random because how is it possible that every single time the bots win. This game is so unrealistic from playing the real game with friends due to the fact that the bots can play their full set in the first turn. I do think this game need adjustments and from reading these reviews it counts to me as if the creators of this game do not care about its users opinions. So I recommend another game to take of your spare time cuz this game is definitely not it.
After the first few levels you are asked to make a purchase two or three times a hand.
Game play — you shouldn’t have to “confirm” what you’ve played and it should automatically recognize that a “run of 5” includes a run of 4. In real cards they are played together all the time.
Once I discovered myself in the payment confirmation accidentally it was time to delete the app.
How “please buy this” became called a “reward” is also a bit beyond me.
Good news is that there are no obnoxious adverts for other games.
would be nice if instead of the round ending once one player/bot is able to get rid of all their cards, the round continues until there’s only one player left with any cards at all. otherwise the amount of times the bots just happen to be dealt winning hands and are able to end the round in 1-2 turns is RIDICULOUS. also ridiculous is the amount of energy spent per round and how long it takes to refill it just to continue playing.
The game of phase 10 has ten phases that are played in the sequence of 2 sets of 3, set of 3 and run of 4, set of 4 and run of 4, run of 7, run of 8, run of 9, 2 sets of 4, 7 of one colour, set of 5 and set of 2, and lastly set of 5 and set of 3. There are 10 phases. That is why it is called Phase 10.
This game is a knockoff that has made-up phases, and I don’t like the candy-crush style progress ladder.
Game is fun but I have not been able to pass level 15 because the bots are rigged. Read the reply to some review and they had the audacity to say every player is dealt “equally” like uh yea OK... how is it possible that every bot gets wild cards EVERY round and I get one every maybe 4th round?! I’d like to see the founder of this game to try and tell me that every bots are dealt “equally”.
This game is such a money grab. If you want to play with friends, you need to use in-game coins for every round, which are so hard to acquire by playing the game. So you’re pretty much stuck paying real money just to have a few games your with friends. Playing with friends shouldn’t cost so much. Offer a one-time purchase to unlock unlimited multiplayer functionality with friends.
