Just because some people will think differently, this app is actually great. It has very good controls, and of course some things are wrong, but it’s still amazing. They have almost every song on here, every podcast, artist, you name it. The ads without premium only come once or twice in an hour long playlist, and they don’t have double ads like YouTube. I havea premium account, and it helps organize and get rid of complications. I haven’t heard ad in months! It is great to consider, but still great if you don’t wanna commit to a subscription. They have multiple different plans, and I use the student one. Also very good prices if you want to split up a family plan for a group of people. You can split it through friends, family, and it works great. But here are the sort of bad things. 1. There are lots of songs that have swears that aren’t explicit, not really that big of a problem cause of Spotify kids, but lots of kids are on here and it can be inappropriate. 2. While they have lots of variety, some of the keywords you use won’t really come up. One time I was looking for upbeat jazz, and it took about 2 hours to make a list. 3. If you have a dance playlist for a performance and you don’t have premium, it will play the adds. I think you should have the option where you get 3 picks to get no ads on a playlist once every 2 weeks. There’s not a lot of cases like that, but it’s an option. 4. There should be alternate playlists for different moments for different people. Like a genre for people that are drawing, when someone’s dancing, and all the stuff like that. While they do have public playlists, it’s hard to find what you’re looking for sometimes. That’s really all I have to say about this app, and you should consider the plans and app all together.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. First of all, you have to pay to skip. What? Let people skip without paying, geez. Second, stop playing “suggested songs”. Almost nobody likes it. I know what I like and I know what I want to listen to. So don’t play “suggested songs”. It would be a tiny bit better if it was only once every 5-10 songs or something, but no, you play one song from my playlist and then for the next bunch of songs it’s the songs you recommend me. I absolutely hate it. If you’re reading this, and are considering get these pathetic excuse for a music app, I suggest not. Use Itunes instead.

I absolutely love this app! I’ve had on my phone for years now and it’s definitely my most used app, but I have a small problem. So when I click on the artist I want to listen to on my iPhone, the profile picture doesn’t show up, so if I want to follow the artist I have to listen to one of their songs, and follow them from there. I also can’t go back, so if I wanted to go back to my home page from someone’s profile I have to restart the app. Other than that Spotify is awesome! I hope you guys can help with my problem soon! Thanks!
Recommendations might only work for mainstream audience

Every time I see the “Find your favourite new song today” I really feel like stopping my membership and deleting it. I mostly listen to Metal and it insists in recommending Country, French, and some other crap I have never listened to in the 3 years I’ve been a member.
When it comes to user experience it makes me feel not welcome as I’m not the average listener. If I can’t stop the horrible recommendations at least let me rate and say how not into those artists I am so it will stop recommending the same crap I’ll never listen to.

I guess the music selection is ok or so...
But my ISSUE is the fact for the past couple of weeks or so Spotify just started randomly reloading the app on me while listening to music (which by the way TOTALLY kills the mood!) Now if I want to prevent this from happening I have to stay on the GOD DAMN APP while listening to music on the app and now I’m considering to switch to Apple Music (new update also r e a l l y killed the mood as well ) so um yeah I guess I have an ‘issue’ with the app (FIX THIS)
Track position.

Your audio player isn’t working properly. First, of all, I don’t want those little chimes before I start or pause a song. Second of all, even though I slide the track position slider to null of 7 minutes 32 seconds of the Robin Trower song too rolling stoned for example, when I restart the song, the song restarts where I left it, instead of starting from the very beginning of the song where I slid the audio player track position to. Please fix. Thanks.
You can only listen on shuffle mode on iPhone

I’ve been using the iPad version and Windows and it treated me pretty well since I can listen to my playlists in the order that I want, but on the iPhone version you can only listen to shuffle which completely ruins the playlists that I have by messing up the order. My conclusion is that the iPhone version of Spotify is gay and also another gay thing is how you can’t even get premium through the app. Screw this, I’ll go on YouTube.

I had a playlist that worked exactly how I wanted it too for the last week but now all of a sudden it doesn’t play in order as I had it anymore and I don’t want it on shuffle anymore but it won’t let me stop the shuffle and it adds songs to my playlist that I DON’T want added!! I add the songs that I want added so I can listen to them the order that I put them in but now it’s all random and new music that I did NOT add!!!

Updated a week ago - all my Liked songs disappeared. The app also started crashing multiple times per song. Updated again ten mins ago - crashes even more now. Unuseable now.
It is also now turning my phone into the surface of the sun and chewing through my entire battery in less than an hour. What the hell? Fix this please. I am paying for a product that I cannot use at all.

I love Spotify and all but I hate it when they add random songs to my playlists. Like on time I was jamming out to my playlists instead of my playlists going on repeat . All these random songs that aren't my kind of taste in music that are added to my playlists.
Spotify no hate but stop adding songs to the playlists.
Another thing you need to give people unlimited skips and to be able to go back to a song.
