For the longest time now, I’ve been having problems with this app/service. We have very powerful WiFi (full power in back/front yards with doors closed) and even though my iPhone 12 (fully up-to-date) is sitting in our office just 9 feet away from our modem (and not too much further from the speaker) after one of our fave stations has been paused for about 7 minutes, when I go to play again, it plays on my phone. I then go to select our Google Nest Audio in the kitchen, the speaker is not listed. I eventually get it back but this shouldn’t be happening. It does work perfectly for short periods, but then starts acting up. The issues were more worse with my pervious iPhone.
I have just tried the app with my iPad Air and I’m having the exact same issue.
Seems each update breaks a key feature, sleep timer no longer works and hasn’t for the last 3-4 updates. The sort podcasts by last updated doesn’t work properly and hasn’t for months. The constant advertising in the middle of my feed despite me being a paying customer for well over 5 years.
The categories for podcast completely exclude any thing related to paranormal so I can’t find new podcasts in the app relying on word of mouth from the internet like it’s 2005.
They constantly advertise music under the guise of “ you might want to listen to” despite that I’ve never EVER listened to those genres of music.
135,826 minutes listened to in the last year alone and I’m sick of struggling to find new things that I want to listen to.
why do you give the most beautiful useful heaven-sent features just to remove them? you did this with the ability to press and hold a song to listen to a glimpse of it. now you’ve done it to the feature that once let you add songs to multiple playlists at once. did we, your audience, do something wrong? are you punishing us? please add these features back. also, give Jewel Ham credit for her idea to make spotify wrapped into an interactive story instead of an email you sickos. peace and love though. i believe in criminal rehabilitation which yall clearly deserve. xx
Why all of a sudden do I only have 6 skips an hour and I can’t play any specific song I want. Just because I don’t want to pay to listen to music. I have to wait a whole random playlist to listen to one song. And I listen to more adds then I do songs. I’m using more of YouTube then Spotify now because YouTube let you play most song without adds. And I can listen to one song without a entire other playlist of songs and artists I don’t know. The only reason I gave it more then one star is because I was better before
Love the app overall, and prior to when I last checked it was still good.
Right now however, when I try to add a song to playlists it will only allow me to select 1 playlist and then I have to repeat that every time I’d like to add that song to another playlist.
They way it was before was better for flow, it feels a bit more clunky and more of a burden to use.
Hopefully this doesn’t fall upon deaf ears, thanks for a good service at a good price.

I’m trying to switch from Apple Podcasts (because the app sucks) to Spotify for my podcast player. Im noticing some of the same issues. If I’ve marked a podcast as “played” why does it still clog up my feed of podcasts? Only unplayed new ones should appear there
Also why are there podcasts I’m not subscribed to in my feed. Discover of new podcasts should be separate. It should be easy for me to just see a list of new, unplayed episodes from podcasts I’m subscribed to
spotify on iphone literally sucks. you can’t even play the song you want without going through millions of different playlists, you can’t even play back the song you want. i recommend going on ipad to listen to spotify cause for some reason its good on ipad. and to add to that, 6 skips per hour??? i’m not waiting a hole hour to skip a song. i don’t recommend this app on iphone unless you want to throw your device from rage or something.
Spotify is really good for listening to music for free. One thing however, is on my spotify on my iphone, it doesnt let me listen to a specifc song, i either have to wait for it to play in a playlist, or I have to listen to the preview of it. There are also a lot of ads, which may be annoying for some users. However, other than that, its really good and i recommend it very much!!
I've had Spotify premium for probably 2 years now and it seems to keep getting worse. Not sure what the point of being able to download songs is if when I have no cellular data they won't play anyways. Getting pretty tired of paying for a service that doesn't work when I need it - my morning commute. Somewhere with full cellular service but it still Won't work.
I am having a hard time finding out If they are going to renew my membership. There doesn’t seem to be anyone to contact. Any ideas Spotify? I find it a lot more difficult every time I go into Spotify. I want to stay with you guys but I’m 72 years old as are hundreds of thousands of us and we don’t like having to do complicated sign in problems
