My driver got us in an accident and damaged my laptop which I use for school and work, when trying to get help for it I kept being sent to wrong places and to an insurance company that does not even cover these things and after 2 months I was told I wasn’t even supposed to be sent to them and this is a claim for Uber directly. I have been dealing with this since October and I either get my support chat closed or simply no response. I keep being told empty promises and receiving apologies without any meaning. I don’t need an apology I need my laptop fixed, at this point I am considering taking legal action as they are clearly just ignoring my messages or trying to make me give up on it and not give out my rightfully deserved claim since it was clearly Ubers fault that the laptop was Brocken not my own , I was not the one who got into the accident but their driver.
For some reason all my cards get declined for some reason and I cannot request a ride so I talk to 5 different help supports and they all keep saying I have some security issue and tells me they will transfer me to some team to help me with this issue it has been 6 months and no one gives me an email I just ended work no way home stuck and they might kick me out soon from mall and now I am stuck here chatting to 5 different support helps and they all transfer me to some specialized team and they never reached out to me so. I am stuck here at the mall today and its hella scary and dangerous out here. Why am I deserving this all I need was a single ride and I cant request it and no one is willing to fix it for me HELP
I use this app for Uber eats delivery every now and then. I placed an order and after finishing up with the order and getting charged I pressed “back” and the screen said “items removed”. Which prompted me to place the order again thinking the order had been cancelled. When I repeated the process the screen showed the same message. I saw that I had two orders. I called the restaurant within a minute of doing this to cancel it. They didn’t cancel it. Customer service agent did not want to give me a refund either despite being within minutes of placing the order. This is unfair and all because the app had misleading messages.
The drivers also keep delivering our orders to the building across the street.
I only ever used Uber once and they automatically signed me up for “Uber One”. They then proceeded to charge me monthly for a service I didn’t even know they had signed me up for. When I finally realized months later, they refused to reimburse me for all the months they had charged me for. Their customer service is terrible and seems to be run exclusively by bots. I kept getting identical messages from different ‘people’ every time I tried to open a claim. Very disappointing. I honestly expected more from a big, worldwide company such as Uber. The least they could do is reimburse me for their mistake. I would honestly give them fewer stars if I could.
This app used to allow to unsubscribe from promotional notifications which has been an option that was removed.
As a dark pattern, they’ve bundled notifications as an all or none format where critical notifications such a Ride Status or Driver Communications are tied to Spam notifications to cause friction for those who desire to opt out.
What is more is that I had Logged out of the app and yet still, local promotions are still being sent through.
This is in violation of App Store policies and a disgusting practice.
I am a Chinese student study in Canada. I always arrive the point on time, see hello, Nice to meet you sir. And have a good day, thank very much every time. At the beginning, my rating looks good, I get 5stars for 5 times, but after that, I get two 2stars with no reason. Now my rate is 4.14. I think this is because some drivers rasicm. I almost want to cry, I have try to be friendly to everyone, but it doesn't work , I even want to kill myself because I am a bad guy.
I have given complaints many times that I am unable to book the ride. Each time they say it is technical and need to reset the password and after which it works fine. However, all the time it never worked. Unfortunately, we can’t check whether this works or not unless we are in need of booking a ride. We are having UberOne subscription, in spite of this, the service is pathetic
Was recommended by work colleague who figured out for 3 people it was way better convenience wise to take Uber from Paris hotel to cdg terminal 1 than the public transit in Paris in mar 2023 due to strikes, metro to rer walking transfer and rer construction requiring transfer to bus last part. We took the Uber and could not agree more with work colleague. Cheers
I do not recommend using Uber, you need to constantly check it, constantly trying to raise the price, some additional fee is tens of percent more after confirming the price without explanation, especially for trips to the airport. Comparison with another competitors usually won competitors. with the same level of service.
Ricardo was our Spanish only speaking driver and we are 1 year on duo lingo. We quickly shared stories and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of driving together for an hour. Uber allows cultures to connect seamlessly without borders of any sort. Great fun “muy divertido” when the system works.
