Achievable and fun

This is a good program for someone who wants to change up their workout routines and isn’t able to get to a gym or a class. The workouts are effective, challenging without being out of reach and as each workout only lasts 28 mins it’s really easy to keep focussed and find the time in the day. I like the emphasis on recovery in the program too with timetabled rest days and recovery sessions. There’s also a clear progression and plenty of programmes to choose from if you complete one and want to move on to another. The things I would personally like to see changed: the progress tab feels a bit pointless for me since the only thing you log is a photo, I’d prefer to track measurements like waist etc. The food planner has some really great ideas and I love the concept of being able to just take the shopping list and have my meals planned out. But for me it misses the mark a bit, firstly because there’s 5 meals a day all of which require some level of preparation so it feels like you’re always in the kitchen, but also because the volume of food I think is really a lot! I’m not sure I would lose any weight following the plan, it’s healthy sure, but I don’t think it’s for weight loss. For example the recommended portion of oats in the plan is 60g, which is well above the 40g I would usually have, and then you’d typically follow that with another reasonable sized snack before you even make it to lunch. Having said that I’ve taken some ideas from the plan to switch up my usual meals and I do like the concept. Overall I really like the app and I would recommend it.
Edit: Apple Watch integration!!
Hwfhebrbejdi on 2020-09-26
Edit: FINALLY (sort of)!! In the latest update, workouts are now logging with Apple Watch as exercise, so you don’t have to remember to turn them on on the watch as well! A great start but would still love to have the completely synced experience it had years ago when the Apple Watch app first launched! See original review below: ******** Been using Sweat for years and from the workout side it’s a 5 star app for sure. However, it blows my mind that they still haven’t managed to work out how to integrate it with the Apple Watch. When the watch app first launched it was buggy but brilliant, the phone and watch app were synced so your arm buzzed when an exercise was done, and you could advance them right on your arm - exactly what you would expect from a big app like this. Now the apps are disconnected from each other and a Sweat workout doesn’t even register as a workout in the Apple Watch unless you track it separately - completely rubbish! It’s crazy that a relatively expensive app can’t sort this out, when free training apps can manage it (Runkeeper for example). What even crazier is that it’s been YEARS since the watch app was launched and they haven’t fixed it, I can only assume it’s not a priority?
The best fitness app ever!

I absolutely love this app and have been a faithful user for nearly two years now. I love that “at home” workouts where added to help during all the lockdowns we have faced this year and it still helps because I can’t get to the gym everyday so the home workouts really come into their own on those days. I would like to suggest the option to chose which superset follows which, for example; in the gym there are often people using the machine I need to do the next superset showing in my workout and rather than wasting time waiting for them to finish their set, I move onto the other super set showing but I have to do that part of the workout without the app because I am not able to skip or choose the next one. I have to follow the order it’s laid out in. I hope this makes sense? It would mean I can move onto the next set and when the machine is free I can go back and do the first set...
Love the exercises but calendar function is so cluttered
16 weeks post partum on 2020-09-26
I love love love the app an the exercise programme and I’ve been using it since I was 4 weeks post birth and absolutely enjoying it. However, I find the calendar function very cluttered and impossible to use. There is no differentiation between the past/future days and recommended workouts and workout that I’ve actually done. I forgot to add a Cadio workout that I did yesterday and there’s no way for me to do that so I had to add it as a non sweat workout instead. The Step Connect is always there, taking so much space. Maybe one + button with a hidden menu can get rid of this clutter? Just a suggestion. The calendar page is just too cluttered and overwhelming to use.
Fantastic Fitness App for Women
fitnforty47 on 2020-09-26
Been using it for a year now. Had a break due to lockdown and gained 1.5 stone. Went back to it in June and haven’t looked back. Combined with the app and meal replacement diet I’ve managed to go from a UK size 12 to a UK size 8. The app is brilliant easy to follow. I love the length of the workouts and you can add a challenge in when you feel your fitness level is increasing. It’s changed my shape totally and I’ve never had thighs this thin..
My husband loves it too!
monicaghunter on 2020-09-26
I hesitated for a long time in buying this app. I was already working out consistently at home (even during lockdown) and started getting a bit bored with my workouts so I bought SWEAT and it completely changed everything. Fantastic programmes, really good variety, really sweaty:) Plus, a good choice of stretches that my husband frequently uses alongside his strength training. I can’t recommend this highly enough. Buy it- you will not look back!
Sweat....with me
Nana 9.5 on 2020-09-26
Love the workouts .No gym in Scotland for the last 18 weeks and no news on opening.I have really enjoyed the home workouts as they have kept me moving. I love the Build but having no equipment ,other than water bottles,I switched to Kelsey.....again excellent for what I needed. Would love to see a female body building challenge starting from zero to advanced.Perhaps in the pipeline? Meanwhile love my Sweat sessions.Thanks. Nana 9.5
One of the best fitness apps
Karenza1 on 2020-09-26
I love the range of activity and levels on this app - the courses are well designed and really challenge you. It’s not called Sweat for nothing! Dropped a star because it’s not as user friendly as some others - the dashboard can be hard to navigate, and the verbal coaching is pretty much non existent. Good if you know what most of the exercises are and don’t need any motivation, but not one for beginners I’d say.
Great instructions, simple and effective
onkohealth on 2020-09-26
Done BBG, now on BBG 2.0- starting to see more definition. Tough workouts for a 46y old but I can still do it! It’s never easy but that’s the point- keep challenging your body and it will keep changing! Highly rate the videos and the instructions- as a physiotherapist, I am pretty fussy about exercise demos and instructions and these guys are really thorough!
Best fitness app on the market
ellessdee99 on 2020-09-26
Really easy to follow workouts that actually work. You don’t have to do any thinking - just follow the plans and you’ll see results. I have used this app to slowly regain my fitness levels and to maintain the muscle that I have gained and my weight. Hands down the best fitness app I’ve found and I’ve always come back to it even after trying others.
