Really good!

If you’re new to Telegram, it’s basically WhatsApp (in fact, virtually identical) but without phone numbers. More used by groups of people rather than individuals (in my experience, anyway) this is a great messaging tool, especially if you wish to separate certain conversations from SMS/iMessage etc. You can set up notifications for specific chats, and even give them their own alert tone, though it would nice to have a wider selection of available tones. I have two things that frustrate me with Telegram: one is the “Mute” button is right at the bottom of the chat, activated instantly (rather than asking if you want to confirm it) and so you can easily mute a conversation accidentally without noticing. I do this every now and then, and miss important messages as a result – it’s very annoying and poorly placed, so I hope Telegram’s developers will move it soon (or at least add a “are you sure you want to mute this chat?” pop-up!) The other thing that frustrates me: if you have about 30 chats, you can only “pin” a maximum of five to the top of your screen, which you can then re-order. What if you need to pin six or seven, or want to at least order the chats in a certain way? You can choose the order for chats, but oddly you can’t choose an order for the rest of them (the order of unpinned chats is decided based on the latest chat to receive a new messages). I have three groups of three chats – I like to keep them all together. Other than these minor annoyances, it’s a great tool. Please, Telegram, either increase the number that can be pinned, or let us order them in any way we want. There are some groups I’m part of which I don’t want to check that often, whereas there are about ten that I want to check several times a day or have listed at the top of the screen. Having some of these conversations ordered by ‘last message received’ because I can only pin five is not that useful for me. It’s a great tool, though.
Better than WhatsApp?!?!

So firstly the app is well ahead of its competition. It’s so fluid and looks fresh, there’s also the fact that I hate Facebook having control over everything (including whatsapp) this is a better alternative. Downside... no one knows about you! You need to advertise more I literally have a handful of friends in my contacts on Telegram and people are reluctant to swap from my recommendation only.
It’s not that good
PattoX1X on 2020-08-12
If you log in and out of it after so many times you can’t log back due to been told you have exceeded your limit ,and try later but I tried for a day and couldn’t get back I had still exceeded my limit,it doesn’t say you have a limit when you down load it ,so it’s not that good if it gets fixed it might be better but until then I CANT LOG ON.

Please make it more accessible for voice-over users, as a visual impaired person I’d like to use Telegram but it’s not fully accessible for visually impaired and blind people and I hope that you do so in the near future. Based on what I mentioned above, I will give you two stars till you improve the app to be fully accessible.
Absolutely great app

I use this app to communicate in groups along with friends and has been great in doing. Essentially its like whatsapp but without phone numbers. .What i like better is that images don’t instantly go straight to your camera roll. Highly recommend. Very easy to use, no headaches
Not good
danrhind on 2020-08-12
What’s app is better, all the notification sounds on telegram are too quiet and not long enough. Wish I didn’t have to use it to be honest. Their support team are non existent been waiting for help for about a year, that’s ridiculous
Way better than WhatsApp
Sammiefields on 2020-08-12
This is way better than WhatsApp, don’t know why it only has 4 stars. Better user interface, more features, has a desktop app that it syncs perfectly with, can have the same account on multiple devices.
Add own ringtones please!
Surreywelsh on 2020-08-12
Good app, but the notifications are too short and would love to be able to add my own, or have some louder more alarm type of tones last last longer - alarm for 5 seconds
“Read by” and glitch
Rion1200 on 2020-08-12
If I’m trying to send a picture, whenever I write an “@“ symbol in the captions the app crashes. Also we need to see who’s read our messages instead of simply two ticks.
Hard to find fault

Hard to find vault with this excellent secure private multi platform ad free and free of charge messaging app. I couldn't imagine a chat app I'd like more.
