Slow app and removes my matches and messages AND NOW BANNED MY ACCOUNT
merituvich on 2020-11-26
My tinder is hella slow it takes me a while to even swipe on someone never mind messages. I get told to delete the app and download it again but this only removes my matches. I had 5185 matches and 2426 messages. I deleted the app and now I have 1857 matches and 957 messages. The last time I deleted the app to make it faster, I had over 5000 matches and after I deleted the app I had around 3000 matches. Edit: you’re telling me over 1000 people unmatched me in less than 30 seconds? Sort your app Edit 2: looks like I’ve been banned for no reason. I wasn’t even on the app much so it’s not like I’ve said anything against the guidelines. Looks like tinder has major problems they need to fix Edit 3: my app is updated to the latest version I’ve tried logging in but I don’t think that’ll fix the ban I’ve received for no reason. I have emailed you but I’ve not received a response. The only possible reason I could think of for why I’ve been banned is that I may have been reported for being unresponsive or tinder may have thought I was a bot (I’ve been asked to verify myself before). But I think that’s a ridiculous reason to ban someone. Apart from those reasons, there is nothing to ban me for as like I’ve said I haven’t been on the app much lately. The first email I’ve sent before writing this review regarding the ban, I was told that “safety of the community was top priority” but please do explain to me how not responding to messages poses a danger to users on tinder. I’ve read through the guidelines several times whilst having my account and I know them very well. I have not violated them at all. Edit 4: I’ve emailing them on the 11th October and I still haven’t gotten a reply. Maybe it’s because you realise you’re in the wrong and have no explanation for your poor actions. I don’t know how not going on tinder for a couple of weeks violates your guidelines. What a poor excuse for your poor actions. Edit 5: Still have received NO reply and it’s been over a month since my last email.
Almost useless...

4 years on Tinder,a handful of matches,(within the first few months)which resulted in nothing.Matches ghosted/were fake accounts etc etc. So,why oh why, would i pay for Gold,(as i already have upgraded which i pay for)when i no longer receive matches, thanks to Tinders ‘unique algorithm’???!!!?!?! Thus far,3 years 7 months on from receiving matches,i no longer receive any matches. Having read up extensively on the Tinder phenomenon,it is brutally clear that it is nothing more than a very very slick marketing ploy. One match(in the early weeks)whom i exchanged messages with outside the App,revealed all, that i,and others need to know. Her last message ‘Great chatting with you,but my job here is done, have exchanged messages, which is my remit.’ She then blocked me. Her profile is still up on Tinder. Yes,she’s still there. Does Tinder utilise ‘honeys’??? Without a doubt. Be well warned, this App is lacking severely in many aspects, and ultimately,is quite an obscene scam. I could type all night long with the ‘ins and outs’ of the blatant shortfalls of Tinder, but alas,Tinder has all but broken me,in many respects. Summation; treat Tinder as an utter joke of a ‘Dating App’...expect nothing of it/from it...don’t pay for Gold(you can’t unsubscribe)...most accounts are years old/fake/IG bumpers/validation seekers/ghosters/hookers/bots/folks who REALLY struggle to construct a valid sentence etc etc. You get the idea. Ultimately...don’t get ‘sucked in’. You’ve been warned.
Garbage and busted
Tyler3151 on 2020-11-26
Tinder has been around a while now, and it boggles my mind how it is somehow more bug prone and more of a cash grab now than when it started. I downloaded it recently to discover that the same profiles were coming up again and again. I’m talking 10 times in 2 hours. The same profiles coming around like a conveyor belt. It was obvious it was not working. I tried reinstalling it to solve the problem but no luck. I try to delete my account but every time I try, it comes up with an error. Go to Reddit or any other forum and you will see hundreds of people all experiencing the same issue. There’s not even any customer support to contact, just troubleshooting as the creators are too lazy to do anything other than see their app print money. Zero help to resolve their buggy mess but they will charge you exorbitant prices for the privelidge of swiping more. A useless app made by a greedy and disgusting company.
Faulty features + terrible customer service
JoxOiz on 2020-11-26
I really was enjoying Tinder until some features stopped working. My age range doesn't work at all, meaning I am seeing people of all kind of ages outwith the parameters I have set. Moreover, my 'New Matches and Messages' tab is all over the place, with random unseen/unread notifications that don't make sense because I've opened them all. I tried to sign out and back in but this only made it worse. So after this, I found myself contacting customer service and the answer that I got from them was completely out of context. I replied explaining my issues again and requesting the answers to be more specific. However, a few months on, I still have not got an answer. If anyone from Tinder is seeing this, please refer to case no. 16934563. This behaviour is completely irresponsible. I regret to say that I am quite dissapointed with Tinder and have switched to other dating apps.
Used to be okay... now not so much
nopeadynope123 on 2020-11-26
I used to like the app, no bugs, it wouldn’t crash etc. Started to crash quite a bit as of around a month ago so I thought, when we got this new update, that would be fixed, and it was...for an hour. Now though, I can’t see messages that have been sent to me, without me replying (but I now can’t see what I’m replying too); crashes all the time or freezes, and just isn’t fun to use anymore really. It also pushes you a lot to become members, with features such as super likes. Now I expected this a little, but I get prompted to become a member so I can have super likes EVERYTIME I swipe right on someone, I wouldn’t mind if it was once or twise, but it becomes annoying very quickly. I simply don’t understand what is with all the change, it used to be a brilliant app, which I would have quite happily given 5 stars, and now, I’m hesitant to give three.
Same old, same old

I’ve tried a few dating apps now and they all seem the same. After your hard earned cash at every damn corner to do anything and so expensive. I do agree to pay something (not the extortionate prices) because it takes the crap out of the mix, so you may think! Errr No, fake accounts everywhere and not just Tinder, but many of the other apps owned by the same company as Tinder, OKCupid and match etc. E.g one match claimed to be 20km away to me in the next town UK. Turns out they are in Russia. Next match 30km away, turns out they’re in China and scamming people asking for email and the phone number. There are many, many Asian girls on this site with the majority being fake scam accounts. The give away is they only have one photo, have an Anglican name like Maggie, sue, Abby etc and always live close to your location within 30km. Beware!
Banned for no reason!?
Pj913 on 2020-11-26
If I could I would rate this less than one star! I was banned from the app for no reason? I feel really bad for the fact the girl I was talking to now thinks I’m ghosting her? I keep receiving messages from her, but I can’t reply. When you ask ‘help’ you just get an automated reply. No explanation, no way to appeal? The company should be forced to provide proper contact details (phone number) so people can get in touch with them to discuss these things. I didn’t say anything inappropriate to anyone, my photos were all mine and it seems that perhaps other users can report you and then you get banned? For nothing? They are dealing with some very vulnerable people and not providing the back up for resolutions in these situations! Tinder should have a serious look at how they treat people and make money from them!
I was banned for no reason
Dr Mengle on 2020-11-26
You have still not replied to my email as to why I was banned for no reason. I’m a man of good character and I do not disrespect or send filth. Yet I come on to chat to a girl I’d been really getting to know, and for absolutely no reason whatsoever you have permanently banned me. If you can’t be bothered to respond to my email, I’ll put it here in public. I’m demanding to know what I have done? Is it probably because I won’t pay for your extortionate subscription rates? I will never use this app again, and so far, I’ve stopped about a hundred people using it by telling them what you are really like. If anyone out there is thinking of using this app, please do not bother be they will ban you for absolutely no reason and they do not have the decency to reply back to your email when you contact them and ask.
Could be great and once was..

Firstly I’m not hating on the is app. It has great potential, and many success stories. However, the amount of people who say “I never check Tinder, DM me on Insta” or “I’m deleting this soon, follow on insta” is insane. Please make the app better and help improve the success of legitimate individuals who actually make an effort to find a partner but closing accounts of inactive users and people who advertise their Instagram just to get more followers. More often than ever when I talk to people about this app they say tinder has become trashy and/or have the same experience and end up leaving without closing their accounts. It’s just not fair for people who’re genuinely interested in dating and finding a partner, who also actually make an effort themselves.
Awful new update
Liam900 on 2020-11-26
I’m rather annoyed at this new update now releasing another upgrade, I’ve been paying for an upgraded account for a long time now, was initially plus when that was released and now paying for tinder gold. If I’m honest I think extra features from plus to gold are barely worth it, now you’re added more to an extra fee. Too much is going into making money rather than a good user experience, these extra features should be included in gold. Tinder is a great app but there needs to be something added regarding filtering your matches like bumble have, for example “unread, closest distance”. For someone especially that travels it’ll be nice to see the closest people to where you currently are.
