Doesn’t function correctly
Gooderz84 on 2020-08-11
Money grabbers. Will give you about 100 Instagram fish face profiles consecutively to try to get you to use up your likes and need to buy more even though they don’t match your search criteria. The app doesn’t actually function correctly. Got it set to 10 miles and 30-45 y/o and it’s showing distances in km and they’re bloody hundreds of miles away and about 25 years old. It’s broke. Messaging doesn’t work etc... Buggy AF. Seems like every match doesn’t want to message? Every single one? Read people’s bios it’s a genuine problem. Fix your app people pay for this The app will intend to con you at every opportunity when you sign up. Bots will like your profile to make you curious enough to pay for tinder gold for at least a month. The subscriptions are deliberately misleading. YOU HAVE TO PAY THE WHOLE SUBS UP FRONT!!! (the £x per month is just what it equates to and is included to make you think it’s a monthly subscription. The cancellation wording is also written in a way to make you think like you will be charged monthly. You will not). I asked a friend first who gave me the heads up. Don’t get suckered. -It’s bots that like you within the first 10 minutes of using -you don’t get charged monthly it’s all in one go -the app doesn’t function and is a waste of time because you can’t actually talk to your matches Fix your app and I’ll fix my review Good luck everyone

Tinder have poor security protocols in place, you can pretend to be anyone you want to be and people do just that. They refuse to take on board feedback and are unwilling to help their customers. Reading other reviews, it seems I am one of many customers who have been wrongly banned for doing nothing wrong. I contacted Tinder Support regarding this (my particular case was a stalker reporting my account) and the best they can provide is generic emails in response. Meanwhile someone is out there using my images and they have ZERO preventative measures in place to stop this from happening. I STRONGLY recommend that you avoid this app - there is no protection for innocent users, I feel sorry for the people who have been conned out of money to pay for a service that bans them for no reason. The app is glitchy and generally poor on the whole but on top of this it is unsafe. I really hope Tinder read these reviews and take notice of their customers concerns now that it is in the public eye because they certainly don’t give a damn about anyone who emails them with genuine concerns.
Do Not Purchase
Hemlmstadt on 2020-08-11
Use this as a free app only. I purchased a 12 month subscription only to have my account banned for no reason with around 3 months remaining. This is a common occurrence from reading other feedback. I say no reason as I have requested all of my data and there is nothing that has breached any terms and conditions. When pressed tinder have provided generic replies which are nonsense. The App Store customer service is useless and state that they are a storefront and cannot refund any money and to deal with the app directly. More worryingly is that someone from the App Store states then when you purchase from the App Store you waiver all of your consumer rights. The App Store have declined to expand on this when pressed further. Meanwhile the tinder customer service is equally useless and state that on apple can refund any money. This is a case of both organisations passing the buck and hoping that you just go away. In my opinion this is theft. I have email evidence to support everything above. Run by criminals. They are scandalous and just cash driven.
Guys are always at a disadvantage with dating apps
99_Mike_99 on 2020-08-11
Girls can get hundreds of likes from every guy on Tinder basically and they know they will just because they are attractive and guys will be fooled into thinking she will match him let alone talk to him (hence the likes just piling on) and the girl either doing this for validation or that she can pick and choose who she wants to talk to. Girls will just use Tinder and other dating apps to solely promote their Instagram accounts to get more followers and then ignore everyone who follows her or matches with her. Girls need to get off their high horses and actually use the app for the sake of finding a decent guy and chatting to him. Girls will also just match you and un match you 10 minutes later. Complete waste of time and also the algorithm screws us guys over to the extreme. Distance filters are broken, full of bots and fake profiles too. App can be really slow and makes my phone overheat and crash. Waste of time and money. Better off going out in real life and trying your luck lads, stay away.

1/8/2020: This app was really good a few years ago, but alas with each update it’s got progressively worse. It’s clear the developers don’t listen, and have tunnel vision. Each update has bugs which literally prevent you from using it, for example: photo uploading issues, being locked out of app inexplicably, server issues, photo crop (pls remove this and return to original photo uploading mechanism like before), etc... The latest issue is the profile verification is not working. It keeps saying ‘connection error, please try again later’. On top of that, this app has become full of spam/prostitution profiles like POF. I report such one, but another just pops up. Tinder is done. And has been for after it’s initially first 2yrs. I miss the good old days when it just worked like any other app. Never had ANY app issues with Hinge, Bumble, or OkCupid. Cancelling my Gold subscription as what am I paying for if it doesn’t even work on a basic app level? ‍♂️
No longer works
VeryConfused??? on 2020-08-11
Since last update a week ago it now only shows people 100s or 1000s of km away no one even remotely near me despite having it set up to 5 miles away. Please fix this. This has nothing to do with passport as your repetitive responses to other feedback keeps saying. The app is broken and no longer works Everyone single person that comes up is at least 40km away. This has nothing to do with passport. This is your latest update not working. I’m constantly making sure my distance and age settings are what I’ve set them to and they have not changed. At one point this afternoon the only people coming up were in France. What exactly do you you expect me to do if I match with someone in France?? Please just fix the issue. Almost every review Is of someone having the same issue. And yesterday someone 10000 km away came up.
Banning for no reason
tmcdidds on 2020-08-11
Worrying to see a growing trend in users being banned without explanation, just a generic link to terms of use. I know my profile and conversations with people through the app were fully compliant with the terms and conditions. So I’m yet to wonder if it’s a bug, or whether people are reporting for the sake of it or because I don’t get round to replying to a message. I have tried to contact and ask for an explanation but I won’t hold my breath for one. Having used tinder on-off for about 7 years, I have had some good relationships and friendships out of it. But I feel it has gone downhill and doesn’t reflect the nature it wanted to portray of being transparent, connecting people and caring about the wellbeing of its community.
Don’t bother - scam
Badoo Review on 2020-08-11
I’ve had Tinder on my phone a few times, and never really thought it was any good. I downloaded and used it again over the weekend, and somehow it seems to have gotten even worse. Apparently I have more than 70 likes - but the app doesn’t seem to be showing them to me. I get the impression that I won’t be seeing them unless I buy a subscription - which I definitely won’t be doing. Also, reading the reviews of paying customers who have been shadow banned is very worrying - surely banning people without telling them and continuing to take their money is a criminal offence? This app feels like Badoo now - I get the impression that it’s very poorly run by people who are only interested in getting hold of your money.

Of course i got banned for no reason without any type of explanation other than i broke terms of service when i didnt ? Tried to ask what was the reason the only answer they have is “ we cannot disclose more information at this time” its like they are doing this on purpose or their support service that bans people for no reason is uneducated and dont know the terms of service themselves unless they just use autmatic bots and get peoples accounts wrongly banned Ridiculous! Would never advise anyone to use tinder again The customer service is a joke, they ignore your emails and dont respond they dont care All they want is our Money and clout
Banned for literally no reason
musicisapassion on 2020-08-11
I logged on to tinder the other day to find that I’ve been banned for literally no reason. Tinder’s bans are permanent and there is no appeal process. The customer service is awful, I’ve been receiving generic emails about how I should read the terms of service anytime I specifically ask what I did to get banned. I’m very disappointed, I’ve used tinder for years, I was a paying customer and I met lots of amazing people through this app. The fact that there aren’t any warnings or any way to find out why a ban has happened is really frustrating and has completely tarnished my view of this company.
