Shame I have to give even 1 star!

Several times now, we have ordered from local convenience stores and had missing/incomplete/incorrect items in our order. On many occasions we let it slide, simply because we couldn’t be bothered to go through the hassle over a few quid. However, now this has significantly added up and so I decide to report the latest two incorrect items to Uber. I got essentially half of what I’d paid for. They replied stating that there is nothing they can do and that they are aware that this is not the outcome I was hoping for! What kind of incompetent and inconsiderate fools deal with customers in this way?! That’s basically saying that they’re aware of a store on their platform ripping us off but they can’t be bothered to do anything about it and so we’ll just have to put up with getting half of what we paid for. They have no standards and are completely clueless as to how to deal with customers and bear in mind, my family and I have been loyal customers for years now! THIS is how they treat you when things go wrong. I should also mention that when I called the convenience store directly, they confirmed the name and address stated on Uber, but denied having any association with Uber delivery services. Either they’re bullshitting or Uber are working with fakes who are using the details of someone else’s store. Deliveroo’s service, on the other hand, actually cares about customer satisfaction and will go over and above to assist you if you have an issue (which rarely ever happens, as they, unlike these jokes, actually know what it means to provide a professional service and they clearly have standards that must be met by the stores/restaurants they work with and rules that they must adhere to. Uber need to take lessons from them in customer service). Makes me wonder how much they’ve made from just ripping people off over the years.
Policies to profit from customers loss

After years of loyal service to uber taxis, i recently tried uber eats after it finally arrived in my area. First try had limited restaurants so tried one i have never ordered from before. Food arrived a little cold but also with items missing. Raised issue with uber eats who instead of arranging replacement, just refunded it. Fine i guess. Then today, tried again, this time with KFC. Should have been no issues. Had two bucket meals with sides. Sadly only arrived with one set of sides. Tried uber app but only would allow me to report it and wait upto 24hr for reply. Tried the store direct but they could t send out as needs uber driver arranged. Got reply from uber an hour after finishing food only to be told that due to ‘certain policies’ they have, that is unlikely issues like this would happen so frequently (in this case two times out of two orders) so they would not be able to help me at all. In essence calling a loyal customer a lier and protecting kfc who know they did wrong but couldnt sort an uber driver for me. Wont be using uber eats anymore as a result for branding me a lier over the sake of literally a few pounds out of a £32 order. Pathetic service.
Worst app ever DELETE IT IF YOU CAN
just give me back my money!!! on 2020-08-05
How many times has the this app fudged up the address with their sorry excuse of a gps system, I can’t even count. Drivers don’t pick up the phone and are unhelpful, even going so far as to throw away the receipts when they realised they messed up so we essentially can’t report them or reclaim our money from the crappy and robotic customer service that only reads from a script, that this crappy app provides. The delivery fees are ridiculous for the level of support received, the food is usually cold or wrong, the drivers are rude and unhelpful, the customer service is incompetent, and the whole thing is trying to stay afloat by the occasional discount promo code because they know nobody would use them otherwise. WHY DOES THIS APP STILL EXIST??? I SENT YOU DOZENS OF COMPLAINTS TO CLAIM A REFUND FOR FOOD THAT NEVER ARRIVED AND YOU BLATANTLY IGNORE IT. THEN YOU REPLY 3 DAYS LATER SAYING ITS PASSED 24 HOURS AND ISN’T VALID? ARE YOU JOKING?
They don’t allow you to complain

Absolutely disgusted in the customer service I have received considering I have spent hundreds of pounds on this service. Was told a few days ago I would receive a full refund for an order in which was completely the drivers fault. He took 40 minutes and my food arrived freezing. After not recieving the refund in my account I messeged staff on Uber eats app and they are not answering my question and are being very rude. At a time like this I expected more but I have been robbed, scammed and Ill treated and I will not hesitate to take matters further. I have saved all information and messeges as proof and considering I’m at home shielding and I’m very vulnerable I expected more. I will take things further if this is not solved. I don’t care for credits as I would never order from this service again. I want the refund I was promised.

I really do not recommend this. I’m sorry but I don’t. From the first time I used this, the order never was bought to my house. I gave clear instructions but it never came. I did, however, get a refund but still, first time using, never got my order. Waited a whole hour but never got it. Had a whole family to feed. When I received the apology email, I didn’t get enough information as to why my order had never arrived. Just a simple, “the Delivery Partner didn’t follow the guidelines”. Whatever the guideline may be, you should still background check your delivery partners. I obviously wasn’t lucky enough to get a trusty one. You can decide whether to use this app or not, but I sure as hell won’t be.
Rubbish service
Flly13 on 2020-08-05
I have been ordering from Uber Eat for a long time but recently my orders from two different MacDonalds branches were total shambles. My order in July was delayed by two hours because the driver doesn’t know his ways and my order today never arrived and the McD branch didn’t even answer their phone! Uber Eats did not carry out any investigation with their delivery partners to find out what has happened and their customer service response was rubbish. I will never order from them again. I am not bothered about the refund, it’s hardly breaking the bank but the disappointment of not getting my food and poor customer service is totally unacceptable!!
Useless over priced service

Ordered from this bunch of idiots driver couldn’t be bothered to check the order told him, his response call the restaurant. I then had to pay again for delivery all due to a driver who couldn’t be bothered checking what they are delivering Better go to Just Eat a much better service with delivery costs lower Update:- Got a voucher for 50% off they not only added a 3.99 delivery and a £4 service fee listed as a 10% charge. So my £15 off was actually only £7 off What is this for?? It does not cover delivery that’s charged separate it don’t cost 10% to charge the card for payment? Deliveroo or just eat charge 50p use them!!
Do not use!!

The worst company ever. Customer service non-existent. They steal your money even if you don’t order they take money out of your account! I have reported them for fraud through my bank and fortunately got my money back. Whenever there is a problem they say ‘Thank you for your feedback however we cannot process any of your requests further’. This company has been my worst experience ever. I’ve ordered food that came cold with the worst quality ever that costed £20 and they have only offered me ridiculous £0.60 refund. I would never recommend this company for anyone. If I could rate 0 I would. Stay Away!
App deleted for 2nd time
really ballin on a budget on 2020-08-05
Deleted this app for the second time only downloaded because they gave NHS staff discounts. I just don’t get it. Why is the service so poor? Who is managing all this? I swear to you deliveroo needs to put up more restaurants and they are the king I only used uber for McDonald’s which is 10 mins away and the driver took an hour I saw his GPS trip he went to 2 other trips while holding on to mine. My food was freezing cold why would you do this to customers? Developer response Haha yes we are absolute corporate kunts your reviews mean nothing and it’s all automated keep giving us your money
