Customer service is non existent

Placed an order with a 50% of code I was emailed. The driver took it to the complete wrong place, he even posted a picture of a door with a 4 on when I live at number 20. So not off to a great start, I used the in-app support to report this and it was instantly refunded. I then attempt to reorder and the code isn’t working now as it’s been “used”. There’s no live in-app support or a phone number. After finding a phone number on google the auto select instantly cuts me off as I “don’t have a placed order”, that’s right I don’t cause your driver can’t do his job. After this we reorder on a whim that Uber eats will have decent customer service and honour the code to be applied to the order, well we were wrong. 3 messages so far with the chat in-app which is delayed and they’re sending the same stock answer that the code has been used. Absolutely 0 compassion or help from them at all, all whilst we’re in a pandemic and money is tight. If it’s the case that if their driver doesn’t do their job properly the customer misses out on the deal then why don’t they just say that in the message! Awful support, will never be using Uber or Uber eats again
Rediculous charges, unwilling to correct errors

Uber Eats are untrustworthy The delivery charges are ridiculous (one takeaway less than 2mins drive away cost 3.99 while others further away are cheaper?) and now there is an additional 10% service charge for larger orders too ~ basically a surcharge for not being a single person household If an error with your order happens don’t assume Uber Eats will put it right either I’ve frequently not received items in the order leaving family members without the food - restaurant sends you to Uber eats who don’t send you the missing food but might offer you a refund for the missing items ( but never for the delivery or service charge I note) What use is a refund if you still don’t have dinner? And don’t tell them too often about problems with missing food as there is no guarantee they will do anything about it at all. They are quite happy to take your money and not deliver the full order you paid for and do nothing to remedy it Shoddy, overpriced service with poor customer service from an untrustworthy firm, Avoid

Do yourself a favour and use Just Eat or Deliveroo instead!! Uber Eats has messed up our orders so many times - incredibly bad service. Today the driver calls saying he can’t find us despite being provided with a full address. We send multiple texts with details and call on the number provider, but it rings through to some automated Uber Eats message that didn’t even sound it was for customers. With no way to contact the driver we went looking for him but found that he’s cancelled the order without any further messages. Worse still Uber Eats still charged us, this is totally disgusting!! It’s not our first problem either. Another time the order was delivered crushed, with curry sauce all over the bag. Uber Eats gave us a refund for this one. Another time the restaurant gave us bread instead of a curry, because the spelling was close. Incredibly, Uber Eats didn’t refund us for this mistake either even though the curry we ordered cost more than the bread. Simply the worst company!!

Disgusting service!!! Placed a order today it arrived late 20 mins after estimated arrival even tho that changed several times. I watched to driver drive in the opposite direction to the destination on the map. It said my food was arriving from a male driver on a bicycle. However it was a woman in a car. Not a issue but clearly dropping another order in the opposite direction. My food arrived cold and wrong for 1 item. It looked like it had just been thrown about. Contacted Uber to complain to which they said there was nothing that they could do. Obviously not happy I requested a refund for the wrong item even tho by the state of the food it should have been a full refund. I have sent 3 separate messages and had the same message back. So company clearly doesn’t care about the happiness of the customers and service they provide!!! Discussing service!! Deliveroo will certainly be getting my custom from here on out and will advice family and friends to do the same.
Verifying number again and again !!

I have been using uber eat for more than year and suddenly from Last month its stoped to allow me place order and asking me verify my mobile number which i have done that before to use this app. Now its not allowing to use my own number to verify and asking to use different number to verify because my number is already register, it says. Now i couldn't use this app in lock down placing order and using their discount code. I have been in touch with uber help department and they are keep advising me to update number and profile in settings. Plus they have advices me to use another device to use the app, should i buy new mobile phone use the app and also new number so It can allow me update ??? This all you can get as an help. It took me two days to explain the problem to them and getting answer like this. Frustrating and disappointed with help offers. Thanks !!!
Charged Twice and Told Tough!

I have been using Uber Eats for the past few months with no issues and like the ease of use, I ordered some food and there was a glitch on the App and it told me there was an issue try later, my wife then used her App and placed our order no problem, an hour later we had two orders turn up and have now been charged twice! I didn’t have any updates or notifications regarding my order being processed until two hours after it arrived! I have contacted customer service who have basically blamed me for placing two orders and said there is nothing that can be done and cut off the reply section in the contact, this is horrendous customer service and I am now £35 out of pocket, they were not interested in a thing! Be careful when you order, they are happy to take your money but not refunding when they are at fault!
No an honest app

I had ordered a few times with Uber Eats, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL. My order couldn't be processed. A message on the app told me I need to try again or empty my basket. I tried a few times and didn't work. Then, I placed another order with a different app. The surprise came went I got with an interval of 5 min 2 orders—one from Uber Eats and another extra from the other app. Utterly disgraced when I saw the lack of honesty from the restaurant. I ordered several times and they did not call me to.wanr me about the duplicate. That is another topic. Now, I have to pay DOUBLE because your app did not work properly. STAY AWAY FROM UBER EATS!!!!!!

I have had the app for a year now and I have been happy with the service I have received up until yesterday. I ordered £50 worth of food and the driver gave me the wrong order, not even from the same restaurant. When I tried to rectify this with Uber eats customer support I was met with a brick wall. I have been unable to contact any from Uber eats and have only received automated messages telling me I am not eligible for a refund! This has been a terrible and frustrating process and Uber eats could not care less that they made a mistake! Terrible experience and I suggest you use another food service app with better/any customer service!

The app is usually fine however the last few times I’ve used it, at the checkout it says “could not process order” so I just usually try until it does go through. HOWEVER today the order was processed on the second attempt, I thought nothing of it until my food was delivered TWICE, I contacted Uber and apparently it’s my fault and that I should have cancelled one of the orders so I cannot be refunded. It’s not my fault that the app is not working properly and surely the system should have picked up 2 identical orders being put through by the same account. Very disappointed in this company now
Worst company ever

My order has never arrived, Uber Driver lied that he was waiting outside my house and that he tried to call me. Such unprofessional and rude person! All he said was lies! I talked to him on the phone as I was waiting outside my house, I try to give him directions how to get to my address but he was kind of lost , didn’t understand what I was saying to him and then he decided to hang up on me ! He cancelled my order. I contacted Uber explaining the situation but all they said was that they are really sorry but can’t help further! I am shocked how Uber Eats treats their customers!
