This is sad to acknowledge that customer care service of such a relnowned brand is totally inactive , from last one and half month I am asked to pay balance of 260/- from one ride I took on 6th December 5:12 am, fare was 260/- but I paid 300/- to driver via upi mode as he demanded more, I had train to catch so I couldn’t afford another cancellation of ride, most drivers cancel in morning time, , I have shared screenshot of payment of 300/- to driver with customer care people on chat got no revert , I don’t understand why it reflects outstanding amount , I have not booked any ride from Uber since then and I am sure they have experienced a loss of 3-4k, since booked cab from other apps
Uber in Kolkata followed the proverb “when in Rome, be a Roman” to the T. Kolkatans for long had starved for a better cab alternative to the old yellow cabs whose vehicles and drivers kept going down in quality over the years. Uber came with much fanfare but in less than a wink of an eye actually turned themselves into the same old yellow cab experience….refusals (cancellations on app), asking for cash instead of prepayment through card and UPI, miserably filthy vehicles, refusing to switch on AC and keeping windows open, all that was available already to us at 1/5th the cost earlier. Kudos Uber!!
I have used Uber in most of India and few other countries and I am happy to say that the service are really good until I come to Kolkata and nearby cities. It is really disappointing that the drivers either don’t accept the booking and wait for the customer to approach them for a private ride or they will accept and ask for extra money.
In case the developers feel that I am not giving a genuine review, they can feel free to contact me for further clarification.
But true disappointment from the services offered in one the major cities and least monitoring for the authorities.
This is the major issue . Playing games or what ? If we pay full amount than also it shows that you haven’t paid money . Sometimes the driver ask cash money as we have chosen the online payments method. And in another case when we have closed the cash payment method and when we have paid full money or more because of no change . Than also sometimes it shows that you haven’t payed fully money . You have due. And moreover if we pay more because of no change than uber should give back to our uber wallet . They should improve the payment system.
The waiting time book a cab or auto is minimum 15-20min, now Imagine waiting 30 minutes for a ride that doesn’t move from the location they’re at and they suddenly cancel after making the customer wait for 15-30min.. Is customers time a joke to you? Have minimum decency to let the user know before canceling for no reason, requested 4 back to back rides but wow everyone canceled by themselves, at this point I wanna know why do this company even exists with such mediocre methods being clueless about the customer experience
Uber is literally the worst cab service app I’ve ever used.. the drivers constantly ask for extra money whenever we book. Especially the moto drivers..(and ironically I’m not the only person facing this issue, I’ve seen all of my friends facing the same thing while booking) and today when I refused to pay the driver extra I don’t know what he complained that my account is deactivated from uber.. it’s a great policy that uber is following to support and encourage their drivers to become beggars.. good job.
I have been bad experience with this Uber bike booking
They are roude and demand cash on delivery and I have agreed that but I have kept as online tranction but that bike person had demanded money to pay his account directly and he has updates as I have not payed him what types of act is this and who is gone responsible for this
I have payed every time like round finger but this is what I get in return how care less Uber is
And I m not trusting this uberguys anymore

I have no complain for Uber, they doing great but the drivers… i think they have stopped accepting online payments through app and they always ask to cancel the ride and ask to pay in cash..i know uber has started a new procedure where they debit the amount first and then assign the cab or auto but then the driver comes to the location and ask us to cancel the ride and then pay them same amount through cash. I use uber very frequently and atleast 70% of drivers ask me to do this.
Same thing happened to me when I booked a trip from Majestic Railway Station ( Bengaluru) to my home in J P Nagar. The trips were cancelled by drivers. A system generated call should come to customer for IVR response for the reason and apprise about the cancellation fee. If it is suo Motu cancelled by driver Customer should be compensated. Otherwise Customer should go to Consumer Forum getting compensation for deficiency in Service. This is available in India.
I have been using uber from past 4-5 years i personally feel the outstation ride price is fair enough but short auto trip within the city are extremely expensive…my office distance is 5 min hardly one kilometre still i shows 80-90 rs which is obviously not feasible for my pocket its is still fine during the day time which is 45 rs ..please stop this practice of over charging.. there is not stopping at all its just frustrating.
