Uber does fraudulent practice so many times. Would like to draw two particular occasion where I have been over charged substantially. In my last ride 24 th dec. I was told my charge will be 108 rupees at the time of booking. The trip went smoothly with out any delay in traffic , at the end of the ride I was charged Rs. 164/- without valid reason. The bigger problem was there is no proper customer care support. Only few options are given on online complain raise modalities. No customer care phone number. And no option of mailing apart from from those options. Pathetic corrupt business practices.
The same thing happened in month of September when I was travelling to apollo hospital from Dhaka kalibari. I chose the cash option. Suddenly at end of journey. The bill was exaggerated I could make out from fair details a very high amount has been added as pending payment(?) . I was shocked to my core since there was pending payments earlier. The driver started begging saying “if you don’t pay they are going to take the money from my pocket” considering the poor driver I paid the money. I must say uber is a unethical fraudulent company with corrupt corporate practices. Shame on you. Uninstalling.
Uber is very bad when it comes to customer service, by no means I able to contact there phone customer care not even getting a proper number, there were two incidents on same day.
1) Driver was aware he was not having enough fuel, still he took the booking as a result his cab came to an halt on the middle of a two km long dark full of high speed upcoming bridge. Somehow managed to get out from this dangerous situation by walking the middle of the road( along with my old mother !!!!) even after giving the so called feedbacks never heard anything back.
2) Then forcefully had to take another uber as no other option. This time had taken this ride from a point which was after a toll ( as such my fare will not include 35rs of toll) but the driver still insisted to pay him 35 rs extra above the bill. which I paid as a gesture. To my surprise when I checked after completing the trip the driver has mentioned as I paid him 30 rs sort. as a result ended up by paying 35 rs extra + 30 rs still outstanding.
This is all due to a very poor customer service and unattended complaints.

By reinstating the bigoted driver who intimidated, harassed, put to risk and handed over to the police a customer he was ferrying simply for his views on a policy that has received heavy criticism both globally from organisations like UN and nationally leading to continuous protests, UBER has shown that it is not committed to customer safety and responsible businessing. This driver threatened the customer saying he could have taken the customer elsewhere to deal with him but he should be grateful he is being taken to the police station! By condoning criminal behavior in its midst, Uber has put premium on illegality and sent out a message that such behavior is not only acceptable, but will be given space in its company. The message to the users is loud and clear, that we are not safe on uber and we could be the next target. Uber, you can no longer be trusted. I delete you!
I upgraded my iphone from a SE to a XR and it has issues with booking a cab.
I can go all the way to confirm pick up location and then the app freezes. I sometimes manage to go through after three or four restarts.
I initially thought it was the phone and spent a month with apple support collecting data diagnostics, screen sharing , the works. Apple confirmed that its not the phone but the app.
In fact i did check around with other iphone XR users and found it to be a common problem and well they dont struggle they just use another app to hail a ride when the app gives them trouble.
When i did contact Uber Support with the problem they just suspended my account. No reason provided. Just like that. And when asked further why they did it, the response was “ they cannot manually lift the restitution” .
App freezes all the time in the morning when I’m most short on time. Works fine usually for the rest of the day. Everything else on the phone works perfectly, only Uber freezes in a very weird fashion.
The app freezes after a few ‘touches’. I can open it, but after I click on ‘review and pay’ to pay for past ride with card, it freezes. Allows only one touch on screen to select anything, but then freezes on the second.
Internet connection is fine, all other apps are working fine, uber is updated, and so is the latest iOS version, but Uber just can’t stop freezing and making my life hell every single morning.
Issue not solved despite writing to Uber before as well. Probably will buy on Ola pass and switch to Ola! Atleast they know how to make an app that doesn’t freeze on touch.
Very unprofessional support and cheated drivers.. who didnt inform the customer about the payment method .. driver ask for cash payment. if you are not aware that u have book the cab through paytm or by cash. And their so called support said -“we do not expect our riders to pay more than the trip fare which is inclusive of tolls/parking fees and any other applicable charges.” And they ask for the TIP for their drivers. Wow what a support and what a double face statements ...
Everyone beware of such stupidity . I have made fool on the same that i have paid the compele amount in cash without knowing that i have booked it through paytm.. and their support disnt even ask from their cab drivers and ask me they dont help, as they dont ask to pay extra ... support is very poor.
While i still prefer Uber over any other cab service, i still dont understand the idea behind some or the current meta.
For example, how is ride pass decided for specific users? I travel DAILY through uber, if i am not a valid customer for ride pass, then who else? There is no justification or clarity over ride passes either. This is one major concern for me.
Secondly, i am not sure about the rest but why my application offers only 3 modes of payment- cards/cash/paytm? Why am i not seeing UPI or Gpay as payment method? Everybody is adopting these methods of payment but my uber app is still oldschool with cards/cash/paytm.
Can you address these concerns?
I got uber cab from Bangalore uber zone airport today, price was showing Rs. 644, I told the no. to driver when I get on the cab. When I reached my destination, driver showed me from his mobile that fare is Rs.1680. When I said the actual price it was shown in my mobile app, he said because of app problem, they will refund you. He took the money and left. When I tried to apply refund, his trip and cab no. is not showing in my uber app. I tried calling uber Customer care and no. is not ringing. I took the pic of his cab. His cab no. is KA-50 A-7396. I need refund of the extra amount which charged to me. I need valid Bangalore uber customer care no.
I had booked an auto, app showed some 35/- estimated cost, and I had opted for cash. When ride got over app charged me 265/-, mentioning that there is a 3 years old due. Firstly, there was no due, your app had a glitch in linking with my paytm account, secondly, even if you want to retrieve that money you should do it independently or mention beforehand , not by mentioning 35/- while booking and suddenly charging 265/- after ride completion. I raised the same concern through mail but Uber is adamantly sticking to their action. I’ll never use Uber now, will happily pay more to other cab services.

I generally don't write reviews, specially negative reviews. But this app disappointed me when I need it most. I was getting late to my office and was trying to book a cab. (As per aap) There were many cabs available but when I was trying to book, it kept on searching and then crashed.
Cab and I was fighting with each other. I kept trying and app kept on crashed. Finally aap won over me ☹️. I lost my patience and I had to go by another means of transport
won't come again till the time you will confirm that issue has been resolved. Please improve, I really want to come again to Uber
