Definitive Audio Listening
Master Recourse on 2022-07-02
If you are a critical music lover whose passion is beyond the music and inspired by audiophile tendencies to find the best sound quality by means of either a famous brand name, or by unknown equipment that can do justice and render music through your selected system, then Amazon id the Music Application that does well with a huge selection of standard, high and ultra high definition recordings. I truly appreciate a great selection of music that can turn you into an addict of hi-definition, high volume dynamics with full spectrum sound. This only comes about when that specific music source has low distortion and is recorded through uncompressed methods mixed in the studio which few bands have achieved in the past. Fortunately, todays studios have better options to get the best end result in your ears. 21st century digital recording and playback electronics make it achievable to have a musical experience as close to a live performance and Amazon has the grade of software to render quality sounding music through a dedicated streaming device or a smart phone. Layout of the user interface is prime time. TC Portland, Oregon
Can’t listen to downloaded music w/o internet
Fireczar on 2022-07-02
It is absolutely absurd that I cannot listen to downloaded music with out having access to the internet. On a plane and want to listen to some music? Nope, too bad. Go to select an artist, loading page starts and just continues, then get the “something went wrong” page and to refresh, hit refresh, nothing happens, next pop up “turn off airplane mode or use wi-fi to access data”, and then get “network error. Failed due to network error. Retry when you have a stronger network connection”. Can never get past this. So, essentially, I have a bunch of paid for music that is taking up room on my phone that I can’t listen to when I am in a poor cell phone spot or on an airplane. Please tell me there is a way around this?
How did I ever live without it?

The thumbs way up!! I’ve really been enjoying adding albums and playlists together to make a customized pool of tunes for me to shuffle and play in our home. These are the songs and albums that make up the soundtrack of my life. I absolutely LOVE being able to reacquaint myself with the ‘mix tapes’ that I put together during different stages of my life. I gotta admit... it’s hard to hang a price tag on revisiting those memories through the magic of music. I’m so glad I held onto the song lists after all these years. I just found out that Amazon Music also allows me to download my playlists to my phone so I can listen offline while I’m driving!! That’s a great bonus that I knew nothing about!!
UI needs improvement

It’s a pain to add music to a playlist. Each time you select a song you have to rescroll through your playlists to find the one you are building. It should default to the last one used. Artist lps should be listed in chronological order. Don’t give me other artists’ music when I select a particular artist. Downloads. There is no way to see which playlists are downloaded unless you switch to offline mode. Sometimes playlists don’t download. When I open the playlist, the download button is on, but there are no songs on the playlist when I switch to offline mode. Amazon has no fix for the problem.

I like the app in general. But for several months now I’ve had a loading issue. It takes a song forever to load when you start the app, and then every song stops at least once or twice to load at some point during play. I have perfect signal so there should be no issues. I don’t have problems with other streaming apps. But this one is constantly having loading issues. It’s getting to the point now where it’s not even worth using this out to try and listen to music. Despite the fact that it’s commercial and ad free it is definitely not interruption free. Someone please fix this issue.
Progressively getting worse
serdando on 2022-07-02
I wouldn’t recommend this if you buy music to listen to. It’s gotten worse since I began buying albums. You can’t buy them through the Amazon app. It prioritizes trying to make you pay the subscription instead and gives you advertisements while you’re trying to pull up the music you’ve already purchased. It’s also become much more convoluted when trying play your music you have to to go the artist and then scroll down and press library and the press see more to see the available songs. It’s just so inconvenient to purchase and listen to music through this app.
Not working properly

Every time I try to delete a playlist it just like doesn’t delete! Like the next time I open the app after delete the playlist it’s just back on there and I’m able to use it. The same thing happens when I try to take a song off a playlist it like just won’t delete! This has been happening ever since I got the app? What’s happening? Oh and also when I make a playlist it will only show up on my phone like when I make a playlist it will show up on my phone but not my moms and we’re on the same Amazon music account??? This app is so broken!
one of the worst
tylerr1423 on 2022-07-02
One of the worst music apps out there, but theres no ads so i guess thats a plus. never gotten so frustrated with any other music platform for just trying to play my music. Its constantly restarting the app for no reason, will pause in the middle of music even if i have excellent wifi, and takes soooo long to find anything due to be lagging. Also most of the time if you’re on a plane ride and have airplane mode enabled it wont let you play your downloaded music (sometimes wont let you open the app) I hate this app with a passion
Amazon’s scam to get more money😡
jdjfjfjsjff on 2022-07-02
So for over a year now I’ve been using this app to listen to music daily for hours a day it was just for my routine recently I tried playing music and it said that I don’t have the unlimited version even though I have Amazon prime and it says on there that I should have Amazon music unlimited and I didn’t have a problem till just the other day in the same problem happened with a friend this is ridiculous its part of another scam that Amazon is doing to get us to pay more money for no reason
This used to be a great app Until the techno geeks screwed it up
kingfish7/ on 2022-07-02
This app used to work great, but like all things in technology the idiot IT people have to continually screw up something that works fine. Now it’s a real pain in the butt to find what you’re looking for, and they always throw this car mode crap at you which is just an imposition. I went from five stars to two stars and the best advice I could give Amazon is to fire all the computer geeks that continually screw up stuff that is working fine.
