This exchange is not safe. Don’t put your money here. Apparently hackers can gain access to your account from another IP address without needing to provide photo verification and this doesn’t throw any flags in the system. I had a problem with my very first transaction that was mysteriously stuck for days while I was reaching out for help. Coinbase support is completely worthless. It took hours and multiple failed attempts in the support menu before finally getting a case filled inquiring for help. Right after getting my support ticket filed, the hackers somehow knew to send me a link at exactly the perfect time to verify my security information. Given the perfect timing just after getting my support ticket confirmed I don’t think this was random coincidence. I have yet to get any answers to any of my questions including, why was my transaction stuck in the first place? I’ve received no help at all after losing all of my assets and coinbase has the nerve to claim this is my fault and that I owe them for the funds that my bank pulled back due to the reported fraud. Their support department is dysfunctional and nobody is actually looking at my case. What a horrible experience!

However, you all are making it hard for me.. To compete against Robinhood, Cashapp, Tdameritrade, and soon to be Fidelity; please find a way to get rid of these fees to buy into the market.. Maybe keep the selling or converting fees.. But, we need more people in the market and the fees are not helping.. Please go public soon.. Merge with Square or buy them if possible.. Or, merge with Facebook as that would allow Basebook to be an industry leader in crypto and p2p transfers and transactions... Most important, I Bcurrently use yahoo finance to manage and see my average cost and gains or losses for all my different crypto investments.. I would love if Coinbase would incorporate my average cost per coin.. Also, add in my daily and total gains and losses.. I should not have to use a third party site to manage investments that I purchased on your site.. Lastly, please add custom alerts for all of the crypto’s offered on the platform... We only have the ability right now to set custom alerts for three assets and again I have to use a third party site for the others.. I would love for Coinbase to be my source for everything crypto...
And I was referred to coin base by a very successful investor friend of mine. He did warn me it can be difficult to transfer funds to purchase crypto investments.
I have been on your platform for approximately 10 days and I still cannot figure out how to link my bank accounts. I have also wired a $25,000 deposit into my account that cleared my Chase bank account. I cannot find it anywhere on my platform and I have sent two messages into your customer service platform with no response. I have also attempted to call your 800 number twice but cannot get through to anyone.
At this point I have $25,000 floating around somewhere in your platform but it is not attached to my account.
I am a high risk investor looking to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in a very short timeframe. I have pretty much given up on your platform and starting to research more user-friendly platforms where I feel I will have less risk of losing my money I am trying to transfer over to invest.
Hopefully someone reads these reviews and will have enough care and concern to call me on my direct cell at 702-460-6590. I am very concerned that this $25,000 is missing and I have not been able to get a hold of anyone at your company to help me.

Anyone contemplating investing in Cryptocurrency beware of one company. I invested in cryptocurrency using COINBASE.COM. My account was compromised and everything was first transferred to Bitcoin, which in extremely high, then the Bitcoin account was emptied. There is no way to speak to a live "agent," you are directed to use their email form to file a complaint. The email form is a joke, with dropped down menus you have to use to see if your complaint falls into the pre-programmed categories. Then there is no response to the emails after repeated attempts. It is unbelievable the lack of response from COINBASE.COM's help and support requests, even when told their website had been compromised. Just be careful before investing using COINBASE.COM
I opted for Coinbase because of the crypto options and for its purported security, however, when attempting to link my bank account, I encountered an issue. I contacted customer service and rather than addressing the issue, I was given a link to the steps I had already tried repeatedly (and had described in my initial email). As well, there is a statement on the Help page that states a phone number is provided in the Help Desk email I was to receive, yet nary a one was provided. The email response was dismissive, and in no way me helped me rectify the issue. Rather the CS rep closed with, we appreciate your understanding in this matter.
If they can’t assist with a simple master such as this, I’m certainly not entrusting them with my money.
I guess these people don’t care whatsoever about their costumers. Back in May I was hacked out of my account and $500 worth of crypto. Not only that I never got the issue resolved. No one got back to me. My account password was changed along with email and the 2 step verification code. I have tried to get my account closed for months now with no luck. I get bombarded with emails from Coinbase support saying my account is compromised. Keeps emailing the hacker back and fourth and now apparently the issue was “resolved”. Be careful with these people. They will take ur money without any remorse. Apparently you can only get a hold of costumer service representative ONLY if you are a Coinbase card holder lol. What?!
App is a solid 3 out of 5 for me personally. Not really a fan of the new constant pop for further verification or the fact that my watch list is no longer the first thing I see when opening. I would like to point out what I feel is a bug in that when a banner notification happens on my phone for a price alert, and I interact with it, it takes me to whatever token the price alert was for. That is 100% the way that should work. The issue is if I touch that banner notification and check the price alert, there then shouldn’t still be a badge on the notification bell and the app icon itself forcing me to look at the very same thing I just looked at to clear it. Please fix. Been like that forever.
So I make an account hoping to buy some crypto stock. I do the whole shabang, nice and straightforward. Then the next morning I’m ready so I put my debit card into the system which was also nice and straightforward. Here’s the kicker, as soon as I go to put money into my account by hitting Add Cash my debit card is nowhere to be seen. When I check my profile the card is still there but when it comes to adding cash it’s simply not there. Honestly very disappointing stuff. I don’t know what the issue is, support is just a stupid robot that knows nothing. This is day 3 now, if there is some type of delay associated with these things then make it known. Don’t just leave people in the dark.
Coinbase uses an email ticket based customer service platform. In other words, you will never be able to speak directly to a live agent if something goes wrong, resulting in completely separating you from your asset until, and if they solve the problem. Also forget about trying to send a letter, as they do not publish their address on their website or anywhere else’s on the internet. Think about it - you have a lot invested in crypto but no way to access your own assets. Without access your account could be high jacked and you would not know it until months or years later when and if you ever regained access.
In the last week this app stopped working on my iPhone. I see a few updates from Coinbase have happened this week but issues continue. I even upgraded to IOS 15.0.2 a few days ago but issues still persist. If you want a frustrating experience with a poor app then go ahead and install. I shouldn’t HAVE to use the clumsy mobile web browsing interface but have no choice!!! If you try a browser on a new machine email authorization won’t happen in time. It arrives hours after you try a new machine and it’s too late when email finally arrives. What a completely awful experience it is with Coinbase!!!
