Seems like there is a too much time fluctuation in balances and also inconsistencies . If a person temporarily puts something on a card, it seems the scores go down immediately whereas if one pays the card down, it has to crawl back up the chart at a snail’s pace. Also, one has long term debts as well as credit card debts that affect one’s score. I’ve noticed one might pay a lot on a long term debt and affect his score very little in comparison as a credit card debt. Granted, more than likely, this debt is spread out over time, but if one pays off quicker, the score should follow quicker. I also, realize the situations I mentioned are more just passed along as the rating companies do as they want, but it still adds to or takes away from the working experience on CK’s site.
Credit Karma!!!!! WOW!!
HUBBY38 on 2021-03-08
My credit has boomed up in the past few months since I’ve had access to Credit karma at my hands, it’s a great shows you great tools to use and guide you through when you thought all hope was lost or should I say all credit lost!! My credit was a 504 and then I bought a car and my credit went up some but since little things that credit Karma tells you what to do to make impact on credit mine went up to a 640, I know that’s only fair credit but from a 504 in 2 months later having fair credit 640.. That sure does fine y’all hope to restore your credit scores!! Give it a try for 3 or 4 months and see if anything changes for the better!!
Loans you didn’t request
Walter Sedoux on 2021-03-08
I signed up because it seemed like a no-brainer. I was immediately notified that CreditKarma had reached out to several companies saying that I requested personal loans from them. I was alarmed that CreditKarma was so brazen in their disregard for my financial privacy. I immediately canceled by service, deleted the app, and went on my laptop to delete the tracking cookies they installed. I’m very concerned about the “agreement” you click to sign up. I have no confidence that they won’t continue to track me even after I cancel the service. Other people love this app. I don’t trust it.
You’ve changed so much.

I started using Credit karma as soon as I turned 18 to help get me on the right track. I still love what the app is designed for and appreciate how it’s helped me before, but the layout of the app is so much harder to navigate now. I miss when it was the little meters with red to green, and you had all your helpful suggestions right underneath. Now it is all ad space for their partners and incessantly pushes loans and new credit cards. It’s so hard to navigate and so pushy that it’s almost unusable to me.
Do Not Ask to See Pre-Approved Loan Offers
Mick Gator Fan on 2021-03-08
Credit Karma app said that there was no impact to look at pre-approved offers. I clicked to look but there were no offers showing. I refreshed but still no offers showed. Imagine my surprise when I got an email from a company saying that my request for a loan had been denied! I never even saw any offers and never applied for a loan! This is a total scam, and if this goes on my credit report as a hard query, I will report Credit Karma to BBB and every relevant agency.
Kredit karma

It makes me feel good to know wherever my score is!! However, the fact that when my credit is ran the score is so different makes me wonder quite a few things!! I have a lot of questions about that and how it works!!!!! I just wish all three credit bureau’s were on Credit Karma otherwise I think it’s a truly great app and I love that it’s free thank you credit karma.
Great app!!!
IRJCH03 on 2021-03-08
I have been using this app for few years now. I love it. I’m able to track my credit score, I can see which areas I’m falling short so that I can improve. It helps me to know how valuable my credit standing is so I can get better rates. I helps me to stand up to creditors who want to sell me something at higher interest than what I should be getting. Love it!!!
Disappointed in both reporting agencies
oakcliffbear on 2021-03-08
Urging the last Covid year I’ve made my payments on time every month. I even paid off a card and got no move in score for doing so. I’ve survived this long managing and using my cards only to be penalized more in down scoring then anything. It seems to go down fast and recover very slow. Plugging along...
Great service
Mtj1969 on 2021-03-08
The app always works great. This free service has many benefits, helps finding new credit sources. Definitely a way to monitor and improve your credit score. Of course you have to be active and work on it I suggest follow the suggestions to certain extent.
