Danganronpa 10-Year Anniversary Release: Part 1! In celebration of its 10-year anniversary, Danganronpa is now available on smartphones! Please enjoy this Danganronpa reborn with improved gameplay systems and a new gallery feature. ■ Story The story takes place at a privileged government-sponsored academy known as Hope's Peak, where highschoolers of the highest caliber in various fields receive an elite education. The exceedingly ordinary protagonist, Makoto Naegi, is accepted into this academy which holds the "hope" of the nation's future.. He was chosen by lottery from all the other ordinary students to attend the academy as the "Ultimate Lucky Student"... On the day of the entrance ceremony, Makoto loses consciousness in front of the entrance hall and comes to in what appears to be the interior of the academy, which has been completely closed off from the outside world. He suddenly loses consciousness and comes to in what appears to be the interior of the academy. The dreary mood is far from the impression given by the name "Hope's Peak Academy." The dingy corridors, iron-barred windows, and prison-like atmosphere... Something is wrong. In the entrance hall, a stuffed bear that claims to be the headmaster tells the students they will live in the confines of the school until the day they die, and they must kill someone if they want to leave. Including Makoto, there are 15 Ultimate Students from all over the world trapped in this academy of despair. One thing after another crushes their hope. Incidents which shake their trust, the sadistic headmaster, and the mystery of the mastermind. Who is behind it all, and what do they want? The battle with an unseen enemy begins... ■ Game Features ・High Speed Deductive Action Determine the truth of each incident with testimony and proof gathered during your investigation. Use what you've learned in high-speed Class Trials to shoot down the opponent's statements. ・2.5D Motion Graphics A distinctly crafted environment that's planar yet stereoscopic is born by combining 2D illustrations of characters and objects in a 3D environment. These new, 2.5D motion graphics were developed by using unique motion techniques and camera work. ・Completely Optimized for Smartphone Controls The 3D map movement controls and UI have been revamped! The map jumping function has been improved along with various other adjustments, making gameplay even smoother than before. ■ Additional Contents ・Intimacy Gallery Intimacy Events have been compiled in gallery form! Replay your favorite characters and events whenever you want, as many times as you want. ・Character Gallery Allows players to view character sprites and lines in a gallery. If you ever get the urge to hear that one line, now you can! ・Ultimate Gallery A gallery full of promotional illustrations and character sheets from the official art book.

Passable, but not Great.

I’ll start off by saying that I’m a huge Danganronpa fan. I’ve played all the games, and all that jazz, but this special anniversary edition doesn’t feel like I’m getting my money’s worth for buying this game again. Background Art is incredibly low quality and has not be upscaled to make it look better, or redrawn so it works with full-screen entirely. It’s jarring to see a usually high-quality text box being put upon a low quality screen. Even then, the text box, something you will be seeing for a large chunk of this visual novel, isn’t even high-quality enough. You can see that it’s just not as high-quality as it should. Textures in general needed a rework, like, for an example, the “Hotel Despair” sign on Floor 1, for an example. It’s still in such a pathetically low quality. Stutter when moving images occur is a problem, despite my very high-quality iPhone 10. This shouldn’t happen. I want the money back, but I know I probably won’t get it. This game will only be worth it until it actually feels like it’s being optimized.

so, for the past three years, I have always wanted to play this game series. But, I could not. Because my pc was trash, and I didn't have a psp or a ps4. I've waited, holding onto the HOPE, that one day, I would be able to play these games on my own, instead of falling into the despair of watching other people play it and having fun. I must have watied over 11037 days, because dear god, I felt like I was being hung over a piano and forced to play with my dying body. Or crushed to death with a hydraulic press. Maybe stabbed in the stomach with a spear. But now, my hope has returned. I'm being lifted out of my despair. At long last, I can play these games! Thank you Spike Chunsoft. You made a amazing choice.
Amazing Game! Please support iCloud saves!

Danganronpa is a fantastic series! If you enjoy mystery stories and games like Ace Attorney, this is right up your alley! It runs great so far and appears to be feature complete compared to other released version, which is awesome! The thing that would make this perfect would be to have the save file be on iCloud so that you can jump between iPhone and iPad and continue your progress. Some extras nice features to have (but I don’t expect it to be supported) would be controller support (PS4/Xbox/mfi) and maybe an Apple TV version (with cloud saves! ) Thank you Danganronpa Team for bringing this wonderful game to iOS! I can’t wait for Danganrona 2 and V3! (and maybe someday Ultra Despair Girls too? )
no audio! :(

i was extremely excited to finally be able to play danganronpa, as i haven’t gotten the opportunity to play it for the two years i’ve been with the franchise. the mobile ports were a dream come true, but when i got DR1 for my ipad i was disappointed. there is no audio whatsoever, and changing the settings does nothing. i love the voice acting and soundtracks for all the games, and playing without them just isn’t the same experience. i would love for this to be fixed because i’m really excited to play it, but it’s just not the same experience without sound.
Don’t Understand What Happened

I’m on Chapter 1 and everything is going smoothly until you have to investigate and find out the blackened. I don’t understand if there is a glitch of some sort, but in Makoto’s room it does not let you investigate everything in order to get some of the truth bullets. It wouldn’t let me investigate the trash can, which I looked up was one of the things you needed in order to go any further... so I’m stuck on that one part and it’s pretty annoying... Although, I’ve been a huge Danganronpa fan and I appreciate it coming out on mobile, pretty good overall.
Good but crashing and no music bugs
WeebNaegi on 2020-05-26
So I’ve been a Danganronpa fan for a few months now, and trust me, I am excited for this. However whenever I try to start the game, it always and I mean ALWAYS crashes me out! There’s also no starting music but that’s less important because the crashing is what ruins the gameplay. Other than that, it’s functioning as is. I just wanted to play the game and hope you all at Spike Chunsoft can manage to fix the crashing bug so me and all the others who paid $16 for this can properly play like we wanted to. Thanks for reading, stay safe!
epic B)

its pretty good and it’s exactly what i expected so thats nice. i think most of the people that are complaining have personal problems with it because the music plays on my phone fine and it doesn’t crash either. also i know theres lots of glitches in the game because (ofc theres gonna be) but once glitch i found is that during the first free time when you’re in your room and you try to examine the sword you can examine it twice for some reason? idk lol but i just decided to put that out there hehe :)
love it but trial saves?
awesome poodle on 2020-05-26
i love danganronpa, and it’s totally changed me as a person, but there’s no save file for the trials. i went to save but there was no files? then i later exited the app and went back on a few hours and it didn’t save 2 hours of my trial. i spent 2 hours for nothing. i am disappointed and crying. please fix this, i don’t want to have this app on open during trials when i don’t feel like playing, and i don’t want to have to go through the trial all at once. thank you.
Boot lock password
no more gacha heat on 2020-05-26
So I downloaded the game and played it until the first trial my brother read to power off the internet and I said ok. So I went to my home screen and closed all of my apps. But when he put it back on I went to the app again. And it’s asking for a boot lock password those are the only words I can read since I’m not good at speaking other languages and I can’t get back into the app :( please help
Great Game!

If you’ve never played Danganronpa before, this is a great mystery title. It has its sillier moments to keep the tone a bit lighter than others in its genre, but still has more serious stuff. Great characters and interesting story. Taking 1 star off because on iPhone X/XS/11 the white navigational bar never hides which is a developer issue and really annoying.
