I just signed up for the 1 week trial...

So far I really love the amount and variety of content that this app has to offer! I downloaded it first to my iPad and then added it to my Roku streaming stick...it works great on both of those devices! I did notice though that when I was scrolling through the content on my iPad to add it to my watchlist, that when I clicked on a show to read more about it...when I would go to return to the list of shows that I was looking at...it would take you all of the way back to the very beginning of them, it wouldn’t hold your place in the lineup of the shows. That did become very frustrating the further down the list I went...to constantly have to start over, just to get back to the next show in line. I haven’t checked though to see if the same thing occurs when I’m on the Roku. The only other thing that I would LOVE to see added, is the ability to have a setting for turning the auto-playing “off” or “on” for the next episode. Personally, I always turn this feature “off” because I have a bad habit of sometimes falling asleep watching a show in bed at night. Adding that feature would be a wonderful addition to this app... I really hope that you will consider doing that soon!! Thanks again for providing such a wonderful range of content! I just wanted to edit my review to let you know that when you are scrolling through the list of shows on the Roku, you can click on a show to read more about it or to add it to your watchlist and when you return to the list... it does hold your place, you aren’t taken back to the beginning of the list! So that is only a glitch that is occurring on the iPad. Hopefully that is helpful information to you. I’m definitely seriously considering subscribing once my trial ends...please, please consider adding the ability to turn auto play OFF!! Thanks again for such a great app!
Room for improvement

So far, I love Discovery+, but I will admit that there have been daily frustrations. Cons: When you go to continue watching - it will show several episodes from one show that you’ve already watched. Most of the time, the episode that would be next isn’t appearing there even though I finished the previous one so I have to go to the show, find the right episode I should be on and go from there. I’m seeing this issue on the Roku as well (among another Roku issue). Pros: There are SO many channels available for a reasonable price! My fiancé and I are both very happy that a lot of the shows we love to watch together but never had access to is all right here. I like that our favorite shows stay in our watchlist after we’ve watched them (unlike Disney+). I’ve not only been waiting years for the Magnolia Network, but I’m pleased that it’s on the same streaming network as all of our other favorite shows like Gold Rush, Outlaw Garage, and Naked & Afraid. I can’t imagine that this would be a streaming service we would cut back on even if we had to With these little improvements, I’d easily give this 5 stars. I’m giving it three because I am honestly so annoyed with going back and finding the right episode

It’s very glitchy! Far too many glitches for me to keep. I have the app on both my phone & television and I have yet to watch a full episode before it shuts off! I thought that it would only last a couple of days, being as though it’s very new but this is week 2 or 3 and it still continues to shut off at the beginning of an episode. My other complaint is these are all programs that I can see on Xfinity and demand and the new shows just well, I wish I was able to watch one full episode from start to finish without it freezing or shutting off! Why does that happen and why is it continuously happens! It’s a good thing they offer a free trial period because I couldn’t justify paying either $4.99 or $6.99 for programs I am unable to view. If Discovery + fixes these problems I may come back but until than this app only gets 1/2 star and this warning for others to proceed with caution if you are considering streaming this app. Good luck to you all, perhaps you’ll have better luck with this app. -Unhappy Customer
Finally...but....

I have been waiting forever for a package like this. I only watch these channels on cable and they’re the only reason why I’ve kept it going despite the rising cost. So, I love the fact that they have this now....but the library of shows is soooo limited. I was extremely disappointed. I really had high hopes for this app/subscription and really do hope they add more to it soon or it won’t be worth it to keep it. Also, just nit picky stuff but when you are scrolling through shows to add to your list, as soon as you click add to list, it sends you ALL the way back to the beginning and you have to start scrolling down again to where you left off. That’s kind of annoying. It also really needs to add one of those colored bars like Netflix has at the bottom of the episode so that you know what you already watched in a particular season. This is really needed to save time and sanity trying to figure out what episodes I have already seen.
App doesn’t work customer support is ignoring me

I subscribed on 1/11 because I wanted to watch a new show that came out that day. Despite paying $4.99 for a subscription I keep getting Inactive subscription error and can’t watch anything on discovery+ app. I have an active $4.99 discovery + subscription in my iphone settings and I logged in to discoveryplus.com and also can see an active subscription. And yet the app would give me Inactive subscription error whenever I try to watch anything. I contacted discovery+ support right away yesterday and they keep ignoring me, it’s been 2 days now they don’t bother helping me fix this error or refund my money. There is no phone number to call and no live chat and they are in no hurry to reply to my emails, so you are on your own if you need help. I do not recommend this service, good job losing a new paying customer, discovery+!
So unorganized and not up to par!

So, I’m a 90 days fan and paying for (1)no ads option for the uniqueness of the features presented on Discovery Plus and (2) to skip ads and (3) bonus content for their bread and butter-the 90 day franchise So tell me why I have to go back to TLC app because I can’t even find the current season of “90 Day Fiancé “? It’s not under trending tab for TLC or passport to 90 day tab on TLC When you do find it, nothing is there but the ad for 90 Day channel coming soon & same for “My Big Fat Fabulous Life”- current season is not even there I should at least be able to congregate my discovery channels in one place to watch, and watch ad free as I’m paying for Keep this up and I’ll ditch the app- I have cable anyways
False advertising!!

Do not believe the ads which are saying “new episodes only available on Discovery +” I downloaded and paid for the ad-free version so I could watch new episodes of my favorite shows without ads. Of the three shows I checked on, none of them had any new episodes. When I checked for the shows on their individual channels, I was able to watch the new episodes. Unless you want to access to past seasons, don’t waste your money or time downloading. If you download the individual apps for your favorite channels, you can get the new episodes for free. I can not believe that Discovery + continues to put out false advertising!
Missing Way yo Many Seasons

I love the Netflix clone interface, but not sure we’re gonna keep it due to the fact that so many seasons are missing. I don’t understand... if I’m using a streaming service that owns the channels, why would they be missing so many seasons? You’re basically paying for old content to give them another recurring revenue stream... Many of the shows I like look like this... Seasons 1, 4, 5, 15. Not sure how so many people can give five stars... really? It’s missing basic functionality to show when an episode has been watched... I wonder on the Apple store... how many people actually use the app they are reviewing...
Needs marker for watched items

App is good overall but needs a few small fixes. When navigating through shows, if you keep clicking the recommended ones through previous ones, you cannot exit back to the main screen without pressing BACK BACK BACK BACK BACK to get to the start again. There should really be a main overall navigation bar. But more importantly, there’s no identification marker for episodes you’ve watched. We were working our way through an old season of something and when we came back the next day, none of the episodes had a check mark or anything to indicate we had seen them already. This is kind of a critical item to be missing.

When I first used this app it was great, and this morning, I had my VPN on and got an error message regarding being in the US. Quickly I turned it off and restarted the app. Did it now read my location, as the Hulu app does without a problem? NO. I even reset my network, deleted and reinstalled the app without VPN, and NOPE! I’ll be canceling my subscription if I can’t even use the app, because why waste my money? I hope you get this fixed. I see other reviews with the same problem, and you only give them a canned answer. At least ensure us you’re working on it.
