You would think Ebay is acting like a concierge in the interest of the buyer. What type of concierge offers their customers counterfeits and the copies over the original first ? There’s definitely a conflict of interest on eBay ever since they initiated this promoted listing feature, which is directly competing with all authentic products ,Especially when the corrupt data
ends up on their corrupt programs such as Terapeak and street pricer that blindley suggests what you should be selling your authentic product for when comparing thrm to all the copy junk and counterfeits data they have allowed to end up on those program as authentic’s !It’s also corrupts the promoted listing program because now the seller has to compete with artificial prices created by this tainted price information to be included into main stream pricing. When I search for an item on eBay I would like to see all the authentic‘s from top rated sellers first in top search resultsI’ and not buried on page 10 or 15 like you currently have it regardless of price. And all the junk and counterfeits on the bottom of search results as an alternate purchase option buyers can use to filter out .Just like they do in a department store in the back on the clearance table., or in the Alley district of LA . unless Im A frugal buyer who intentionally choose Open box, refurbished, or salvaged junk over authentic‘s , regardless of how much the seller is paying to promote that counterfeit or Fraudulent listing!
I’m so disappointed with this company. This used to be my go to app but after being ripped off I’m over this company and will NEVER purchase or trust my money with these guys again. I’m beyond disappointed. And the staff here don’t seem to know what they are talking about whatsoever when I’ve talked to them about my issues and that causes even more irritation around this issue. One staff says one thing, the other says another and then the other says something else. It is beyond frustrating and I feel totally hopeless and it’s not the way a company should be having their customers feel. I’ll be spending my money with Amazon from here on out.
eBay is the best online shopping/selling platform out there. I am a firm believer that eBay puts a lot of attention to their costumers as well as their sellers when it comes to their needs and wants. When I purchase something from eBay I feel that I am helping local small businesses all around the nation and that is something I feel you don’t get in any other platform. eBay has still showed signs of how powerful its e-commerce company still is and how they have improve throughout many years of fierce competition. One thing I would like to see eBay improve in the future is their mobile application which tends to freeze and crash at times.
I’ve gotten some wonderful deals from some great US based vendors. But buying proved problematic when folks would win auctions (pushing other bidders who might have paid aside) and then never send money.
Once this happened EBay recorded them as sales and it seemed almost impossible to get those unfunded sales removed from my account. Maybe I just was unlucky, but I finally gave up selling because my wonderful experiences with some great vendors didn’t transfer to the people I met when I tried to sell things myself and the wonderful feedback I would get paying promptly often mentioned clues to the fact that seemed rare.
Need better ways to report scammers. There is a huge glut of BAIT AND SWITCH SCAMMERS USING PHONY PHOTOS! They send cheap counterfeits from China that don’t even look close, and try to bully you with “shipping policy”, return shipping fees, and the not-too-subtle threat your return will be “lost” along with your refund.
Sometimes they’ll offer a partial refund that still overcharges for the junk they actually sent.
NEEDS A FEATURE TO REPORT LISTING WITH OBVIOUSLY PHONY PHOTOS!
Since getting the app my eBay experience has improved greatly. No more signing in and out then having to navigate to certain areas to either check the status of an item or leave feedback. Everything is right there so now I even do a lot of my hygiene shopping on eBay instead of going to Walmart or ShopRite etc. I only keep a couple dozen apps on my phone and when looking at all of them it’s safe to say the eBay app ranks in the top three.
I consistently find quality merchandise at remarkable prices. The sellers I have purchased from have honestly described their merchandise and are prompt in their arranging to mail out my purchases. I consistently make eBay my “go to” shopping site for everything from books, clothing and even furniture, etc. I have been shopping eBay for several years without experiencing any negative outcome of any kind.
I almost like the app better than the normal website. It’s got what I need and use and a lot less of all the complicated stuff that just takes up space. I love using it to bid. Great notifications. Occasionally a few things are tough to access, like making the “sold” button move over so I can see what has sold, but it’s very minor. Overall I love it. (So please EBay don’t send me any live spiders)
How about putting a way where we can put a laughing emoji on people’s auctions? I know y’all are some money hungry fart knockers but let us laugh at people who try to scalp people. Now if a product is a bidding auction and the price goes high that’s fine but when someone puts a price like $200 for a $40 product we should be able to laugh at them. Other than that app is ok.
I never miss any notifications. I can easily respond to buyer questions, make purchases, and post items. I can manage my search notifications and watched items. I have no complaints. I almost prefer the mobile app over the desktop browser version. I know I use the mobile version more frequently for sure. Definitely recommend it. Glad to have it. Thanks ebay!
