So I actually love this app. It gives you points on the back end. In and out of the store. But there is a dilemma that needs to be address. How is it saving me money if the store you use, has a cash and credit price. So using the app is considered credit, which means if the gas station you use has a cash or credit price you are paying credit price. Which in my case is 10¢ higher. So now using the app is defeating the purpose, except for convenience. Please fix this or I might as well go back to using cash. Because I’m losing not saving.
So once again how is that beneficial for us?
App worked well until last week. It no longer recognises the station so it can no longer be used for payment for extra points. There is no longer any way to find specials or bonuses on product purchased, and although you can search for a location, you are unable to click on it to choose one to fuel from. I’ve called twice and was told there are no problems with the app. I emailed, but nobody has responded to me other than the initial automated response days ago. If this isn't fixed by my next fill up, I will delete the app and consider switching providers to Royal Dutch Shell
This app has set the bar for apps of this sort. So convenient and quick - and more secure, thanks to not having to swipe a card at the pump. Thank you for bringing back the station finder function!
One suggestion: offer a car wash-only option. I could pay at the car wash entrance but that requires swiping a credit card and I'm very concerned about skimmers. While I normally pay for a car wash when buying gas, sometimes it is either down or I don't have time for it just then. Having the ability to pay for just a car wash would be great.
This app is so good and just saved me from an embarrassment. I was running on low and was in no where near of a gas station and then realized I forgot my wallet at home. Great! (Not really). I was going to pay with Apple Pay inside but it would not process for some reason so I had no way of paying for gas. One of the employees told me to download the app and I was able to fill my tank in a matter of just minutes! I love how it just automatically syncs and connected to me apply pay without me having to add a bank account or card manually.
New App, the old one worked great, so of course, they had to change it. I couldn’t log in so I requested a new password. The “temporary” passwords they sent (4 in all) “weren’t recognized!” And I’m told I’m locked out for 24 hours. (Plus, why do they send passwords where you can’t tell if it’s an uppercase “i” or a lower case “L?”) I’ve been trying to use the $15 in points for a WEEK now and they expire tomorrow. I’ve been on the phone with “customer service” twice (they’re nice, but we had no luck fixing this.) Really sucky!
I loved this app. Used it all the time then it stopped working. I get the message” An error occurred try again latter.” It’s been many laters. Several weeks of trying with the same outcome. I’ve uninstalled an installed it the app but still get the same message it just stopped working. I do a lot of travel because of my work location. It almost left me high and dry. Fortunately I had another old fashion card available. I’ve checked everything but still the app is broken.
All of the good reviews on here are completely fake, this app only works half the time, and if you are relying on it to work you are going to be very disappointed, NEVER RELY ON THIS APP IT WILL BREAK WHEN YOU NEED IT. This hasn’t happened just once it’s multiple times when I need the app it just doesn’t work, for one of the richest companies in the world please stop trying to find any loop hole you can to save money and just make a good product.
I used love everything about this app, when it first came out I thought that idea was amazing , but ever since the new update the app is not as user friendly. Prior to the update I would get a prompt to use my rewards every time I pumped gas. I no longer get a prompt, and I can not figure out how to use my rewards. Ugh ! Not happy ! I have asked employees at Mobil and no one seems to know how to use the rewards on the app.
Frustrating! It’s convenient when it works, but been going on 2 months it’s glitchy. Claims it cannot find my location with a red exclamation, even though on the map it shows my location and the closest station is pulsing with a blue circle. Cannot pay at the pump or use the rewards. Have tried reinstalling, logging out and in, it’s just not working. I don’t want to use the card, need an app that works.
App is amazing. So easy to use. I love how I can pull up in my car, type in the pump number and I’m ready to start pumping. No more pumps with stupid credit card readers that don’t work. I love how I don’t have to touch the filthy bacteria infested keypad at the pumps also is a plus. Oh ya I also love getting points on every purchase so I can save on gas. Seriously what’s not to love.
