I have really loved using Google Meet for video calls, in large part because I benefit greatly from its closed captioning. I used to use Skype, which also has ASR, but Skype’s captioning hadn’t been as accurate or well-punctuated, and it would also cover up the face of the person speaking. Google had designed the display of captioning much better.
I can also use Google Meet on a variety of devices, including my iPad. That’s not the same for Zoom, which still doesn’t make its ASR fully visible on devices other than computers.
One drawback: I wish that Google Meet had a much better way of notifying people by sound that a person has set up a Google Meet for them. Skype has Google Meet beat in this regard.
I’m not sure that Google Meet will continue to be available for individual users, unfortunately. I sure hope that it will.
YOU HAVE TO READ!!!!! So i reviewed before and the deleted it but the responder litterally told me to do the things that i have doe a MILLION times. I would give this app 0 stars if it were posible. So annoying😾😾anyway my problems are it kicks me and my friend out and when her phone turns of while she is sharing her screen and she turns it back on i cannot see. We use for personal reasons not school. Also my phone has blackout attacks that happen every few seconds. The amount of time they take varies. Once it went on for 3 minutes. Sometimes it lasts for a few seconds at a time but flickers. So this is a 0 of 5 for me
Please don’t get this app it’s the worst app in the planet and the world one reason why is because it’s so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so glitchy and you can’t hear anyone in the meeting when you’re using itAnd the audio is terrible because you can’t even hear a person when you’re in the meeting this is why you shouldn’t get the app and please please please don’t get the app and if you got the app just erase it because the more you use it the worse the app gets so please don’t get this app thank you if you listened
I rarely write reviews but i got to for this one. GoogleMeet is the best app for video or audio calling ever. It’s better than WhatsApp, duo, tango, or any other calling app ever. I call my family overseas with ease. No problems connecting even when the speed is lower than 8mb. Honestly, I wanna thank Google for making connecting with families easier by developing this app. I recommend it to everyone, especially those who are away from their families. Five Stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The “revamped” version is useless on my iPad. When you attempt to access Google Meet from Google Classroom, it takes you to the apple store even though you have already updated the app. When you log on, it gives you the impression you’re logged in when in reality, you’re not. Completely messed up my remote teaching lesson plan. The old version was way better. This new version with its so-called bells and whistles? Not so much!
We sot here and my freind will be presenting and it will freeze and she will be kicked out and as soon as she gets back in it kicks her out. My screen when im on a google meet will randomly blacks out. Then i try to turn off my phone while in the black screen attack and it does nothing
Trabajar con este sistema es lo más interesante que me ha pasado en mi vida hemos tenido infinidad de reuniones infinidad de decisiones importantes que se han tomado a través de estas conferencias que nos brinda Meet ,me parece excelente el sistema.
I joined a presentation with a solar sales person. He shared the presentation, which was clear and easy to follow, as if he were in my home! Excellent means to meet virtually! I’m going to keep the app on my phone and recommend it to others!!!!
Amazing at but somethings need to be fixing I would join not be able to hear my friend and I wouldn’t talk but everything is working and I need to update my app to the latest version but I still couldn’t put a fax so I need some fixing
This app continues to kick me out of my own meeting and not let me back in! I will be in the middle of a lesson that I have to end abruptly. Furthermore, it leaves all of the students IN THE MEETING UNSUPERVISED!
