Overall I’ve had good experiences, but... here are my issues: 1. once had a driver eat some of our food.. so we had to make a few calls to the restaurant complaining of missing food.. turns out, the lady at the restaurant I talked to on the phone personally assured me she packed my food as ordered. That they too have had issues with that one particular driver. 2. Watch out for the hidden fees. Do a direct comparison with other delivery services and you’ll see that the totals will vary. POSTMATES is the biggest culprit on this. 3. Train your delivery people to NOT put food down in front of the door. Many times, as I gently push the door open to get my food, foods get knocked over.. so I’ve lost a number of drinks, soups and sauces because of this STUPID habit. 4. A few times, there have been issues with drivers picking up our food on time.. so food arrives 40-60 minutes after it was finished being prepared.. so I had to pick up my food a few times. One time, I had been drinking so I had to get an Uber to go get my food, halfway on the way to getting the food, the driver picks up the food 60 minutes after it was ready so I headed back home.. so I ended up paying for delivery AND an Uber. 5. On Cinco de mayo, ordered food. Kept getting updates, food will be finished soon,, 3 hours later, the order gets cancelled and the driver (bless his heart) waited at the restaurant all that time to deliver. As it turned out, that particular night, many other local friends had the same issue, so it wasn’t a particular restaurant but rather the delivery service... perhaps it was overwhelmed with an excessive number of orders.

Sometimes the Grubhub App lets me preorder and sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes the app will show that no restaurants are open and then when I close and refresh it, I’ll be able to preorder. I tried to preorder today and it kept telling me there was an error with my payment method. I changed my payment method but it still showed the same error. I now have 4 pending charges on my account that I was told should be cancelled by tomorrow. It’s frustrating that I cannot preorder consistently. Also, the location I regularly order from does not have an option to put what kind of nachos I would like so when I order the nachos on the app, someone always has to call me to ask what kind of nachos I want. Sometimes the driver won’t even call and then they deliver the wrong kind of nachos. I would like to be able to just put that on my order on the app. When I tried to report the issues on the app, I received an email back saying my email failed to deliver because the email address was not found. What’s the point in trying to report bugs in the app if it directs to an email address that doesn’t even exist? I like the restaurants that are offered and I’ve had a few good deliveries but the app makes it difficult to make a simple order.

Please use UberEats or DoorDash. I’ve never gotten my food delivered and they blamed me for the mishap. They do not take accountability for their mistakes and are very unprofessional if you ever have to request your refund. The supervisor that I spoke with, Mike... was very nasty and unprofessional. He used phrases like, “first of all” in the beginning of the call once I explained my frustration. This pretty much set the tone for our call. He then proceeded to ask me “ is that it? Are you done?” Grubhub, your customer service is horrible. You don’t care about your customers in these unprecedented times. Don’t fall for. Just use a better delivery service, people. Grubhub is not where it’s at, if you’re unable to attain your own means of transportation. The delivery driver was able to cancel my order. I called the restaurant and just to find out that no one ever picked up my order. I had to call a cab to take me for my food and still wait 3-5 business days for my refund. They didn’t even resubmit my order or try to fix it. They were like, me eating was not their issue. Grubhub is horrible.

I used Grubhub for the first time today because I saw they had a promo for first time customers and that their prices weren’t inflated (like on ubereats and postmates). I didn’t receive my order for 2 hours, and had no way to contact the driver or cancel. I contacted support and they told me the driver was having an issue and gave it to another driver and then said it would only be 15 more minutes, which was incorrect. The driver also just tossed the food on the ground, it was crumpled and a mess inside the bag. When I reached out to support to discuss my issues as a first time customer all they said was “sorry this was your experience”. I had heard good things about Grubhub but I can now definitively say I will not be using this service again and will not recommend it to anyone. I understand normal delays, but 2 hours is ridiculous and unheard of. I’ll be sticking with Uber Eats and Postmates which at least resolve these issues and are proactive about it.

Sooo.... I’m up early in the a.m. and figured I’d order some breakfast... I already had a feeling it may take up to 1hr, so I ordered my food ETA was 45min to an hour. That was cool.... 2hrs later I get a phone call asking if I still want the order, Im already irate because 1. My order is 2hrs late, 2. As I tracked my order I had 3 different drivers picking up my order(every 30 min), and 3. The rep says my order has already been made, which I already knew especially after the 2nd driver was so close to picking up my order the POOF they were gone. I asked if I can just cancel the order because it’s already lunch time and at first he offered me 10% off my next order and I said no just gimme my money back. I’d be a fool to have to spend more money here again to save just 10% on my next order for the possibility of 1. Not get my order in a fair time especially if they are providing the approximate time or 2. Get offered 10% to accept cold food.

Updated review. Guess I just have bad luck with this app. Today when I went to process order on iPad it kept bringing up a screen with default delivery address info (fine) but wouldn’t let me hit Done and proceed, kept giving me an error. Few tries. Used browser on iPad and didn’t make me go through that, worked fine. ——— I tried Grubhub app a week ago for lunch delivery and it was great. No issues at all. Then I tried a few nights ago, tried a few different restaurants and adding items to my bag, get a “something went wrong, try again” & wouldn’t work. Deleted app, reinstalled & tried today. Perhaps this time worse because let me believe it was working, I was choosing items (and I get pretty excited about dinner when I’m hungry) then at final stage the “something went wrong...” thing. I ordered from website but I won’t always have my laptop nearby. Maybe I’ll try accessing website from phone next time. Super frustrating.

If you know what you want to eat for lunch, be prepared to order it at breakfast in order for it to show up when you want it to... the delivery times shown are always wrong, wrong, wrong. You’ll place your order at 11:30am, delivery time between 35-45 min. So really, the latest it should arrive is 12:15pm... so far I have had three updates... it’s 1:32pm, no food. Can’t reach the restaurant, phone just rings. Driver can’t answer phone when they drive- Grub Hub’s response is “your order’s running late.” Yes-I know that. I get that I chose to not leave the house and I could go get the food myself a lot faster- but a 2 hour wait on food is kind of ridiculous. Take my advice- around 3pm, think of what to order for dinner and order then. Better to get it early than late.

Well just had the worst experience ever with GrubHub. Had friends over called in the order they said it would take 25 to 35 minutes. It was an order from Taco Bell finally got my order 2 1/2 hours later. And it was a little bitty lunch sack basically with 12 little packets of Taco Bell hot sauce I gave them one star because you have to give them something so that's what they got was one star. When you call to talk to somebody they got such an accent you can't understand what you're saying I read the rest of the reviews and I see that I'm not the only one to tell GrubHub to go bite themselves. Word of warning if you're having your food delivered don't call GrubHub ❗️❗️❗️

When I first got this app the people and restaurants were great would call if things needed to change or if there was an issue with something. Now I get a refund and I don’t even know what it’s for until my order is delivered (most of the time it’s a meal being refunded) but then someone in my house isn’t getting their food which is frustrating. Or my driver will say they are getting my order and do 5 other delivery's before pickup so then my food is cold or my cold items have melted. This has happened enough to where I needed to post this, and I would give them feedback in that app but that’s not an option. So just don’t.

I placed an order this evening at 7:34 and I was told that I would get my food 8:15 and then there was a delay and then after that delay no food and then were two more delays so I Finally reached out to customer service because the restaurant will be closing soon one rep told me my food is on the way but then while on the phone with him my order was canceled!!! So the second rep said oh we could not find a driver to pick up your food we have refunded your money but it will take 5 business days and a 20% coupon! So I waited 2 hours a this point no food and all the places are closed!!!!!! I will never use Grubhub again!!!
