I find it interesting people are saying this app has ruined family relationships. I think there are other causes at root. If you are over possessive any tracking app would not be good. My family uses the app and I have 4 circles. I turn on and off circles as needed. When I travel back to family I turn on that specific circle so they know my progress as I have several states to travel. This way I don’t have to keep reporting in progress when I stop for breaks. I have one circle to keep an eye on my elderly in-laws when we know they are traveling for safety. I have an out of state friend in another circle that we both keep on as we just glance to see if the other is home before we call each other. The most important one is my husband and son. My son takes the bus to college. He has some evening classes. The bus stops at a certain hour by our house so I know if he is still in school to go pick him up. He looks at his phone to find me in the parking lot. We have never had trouble with exact tracking. My son can find me to the exact parking stall. I can tell when my husband is driving down our road with notifications. In fact the dog hears the notification and runs to the door to wait for him. Problems people are having with this app is not knowing how to use it and possible over use of it. You can turn it on and off. You can turn off notifications. I find locations to be rather precise or very close. I am not understanding those that do not say it is. I found that only to be true in phone blackout spots. I think many youths are angry that parents are keeping tabs on them so they are denigrating the app. Parents also need to be smarter how they use it. My son and I have no issue with it because we only use it when needed and not for overbearing parental issues. The only thing I dislike about the app is the purple general area circle. Hard to see thru. I get it’s a safety feature of this person is in the general area of this circle but put it a color you can see thru better. Hard to find a car parked in a stall when you have darkened the area. That said I really like the app. Serves us well.
We got different intents coming here to search for an app to track our partner or friends so it’s advisable to know the truth and not fall prey to the evil ones. I have been in a long distance marriage because of the nature of my job, my husband cheated on me times without number but since I wasn’t around to get him caught red handed in the act I decided to hack his cell phone to get all the data activities on his device. I got in contact with Ghosthacker072(@) gmailcom through the head of the IT department in my workplace. According to him, after a long search on here he got to discover this genius and swift IT personnel, this guy is the best in the game right now. He shared me his contact info, After I got in contact with him, we made a deal and i paid him. I doubted the services at first but what I felt impossible became possible within 6hours,I got access to my husband’s phone activities,I don’t know how he did it but it looked like magic cause it was as if I had his phone in my palm. I got access to his Snapchat messages and videos, WhatsApp,instagram,Facebook, call logs ,video chat , text messages etc all in one swipe. I’m happy I got to discover the truth, knowing is better than self doubt. He is definitely the real deal, do not hesitate to reach out to him at Ghosthacker072(@) gmailcom for a perfect, quality and satisfactory spying and investigatory services.
I see so many of the ratings here are people complaining about how their parents use it to track them but I have to say, when the rolls are reversed it’s actually a very helpful app. We are a very close family, it’s just myself and my 5 children. My 16 year old INSISTED I have this app so her and her siblings can give me the extra security of knowing where they are all the time and they know where I am. I work full time crazy hours so it’s helpful to know if I’ve left work or on my way to the grocery store after and can let me know if I need to pick them up anything before I get there. There has been a few times with lack of service the location hasn’t always been right but there was also a time that my daughter’s car broke down in an area with zero service and she was able to hit that SOS button and we were able to locate her with no problem. It’s not a perfect app but it has been a great help for our family.
The biggest endorsement for the efficacy of Life 360 are the low-star reviews. Most of them are written by disgruntled (aka caught) teens. Parents know where they are, how reckless they were driving, if they used their phone while driving? How dare they! How rude to care about the safety of their children! How dare they parent! The app does exactly what it should!
Reading the reviews was so entertaining! There were many claims of the app destroying relationships. If the kids were not lying and getting caught there would be no conflict in the relationship. If you have nothing to hide, then what’s the big deal?
For our family, and others I know, we mostly use the app to alert us when young adult children arrive safely to/from designated locations. Such a comforting peace of mind! It’s a fantastic app that does a TON of things if you buy a subscription. The free version is pretty great too!
My family and I got the app and pay for it monthly. I was a little annoyed by the delayed notification. But one thing that was not delayed, was accident response. My family and I were involved in a minor collision and by the time I moved my car out of the street and got my family to a safe spot. There were firefighters and police all over the place, while a lady that saw what was happening was still on with 911. I had to talk with the paramedics, firefighters and police. They told me they were responding to and accident response by the app. Someone from Life 360 had already had them on their way. Thank god nothing major happened in the accident and thank god to Life 360 for their fast action response. I highly recommend getting the app for you and your family. It’s totally worth it. Plus, the roadside assistance is nice to have too!
My husband is a ride-share driver and he mostly drives at night. We got Life360 and it’s been great to be able to check and see that he’s driving (so not to call) and have a general idea of where he is in case something bad were to happen. Although the locations are sometimes a little off, I’ve never seen any of the problems that others are talking about. Not saying they don’t happen, just that my experience has been positive.
It’s a shame that a company that has created a program that can help us keep our families safe is being review bombed by a bunch of kids whose problem is with their parents. I am personally grateful for an app that lets me know my husband is in safe and lets me share my location when I’m traveling, as well.
I work for a software company. I get that all software will have bugs and limitations. So it isn’t about perfection or completeness but about fixes and enhancements. I think Life 360 has done a really good job of improving over the years.
When we first got it there were times when it would show me 20 miles from my actual location. Had to FaceTime with my wife so she could see where I really was. I wasn’t impressed at all. But we’ve used it for several years now and now we get good results consistently. It shows they have a quality setup. They’ve gone from 1 Star 5 or 6 years ago to 5 stars today.
I expect that the improvements will keep on coming and that this will be the standard for family tracking apps.
I’m writing this review after canceling the BASIC subscription to life 360 that I & my family have had for a LONG TIME. After getting more high pressure advertisements to join life 360 premium than I could ever count; all of a sudden I have to give my password & e-mail just to use the same app & tracking that I have used for years. Someone has enrolled me without my authorization in premium membership; which obviously makes someone money.(not me for sure) I got some msg on email that I was using a new device. Sure thing. The same iPhone 6 I’ve been using for years. Don’t get this app!!! Some VERY NEFARIOUS things going on.
My car was stolen one night and I had accidentally left my phone in the vehicle . Luckily the phone was under the seat and not seen by the driver that took my car. The car was driven about 3 -4 hours that night and was returned back to my house as if nothing ever happened..I did press felony charges and thanks to the 360 App, which stood up in court, it showed all the times and places the car was driven.. This app is amazing... addressees, timestamped information which lead to names and tons of information.. not only did I know where my car was going so did every one on my account !! I give this app 360 a 10+.. Thank you “ A very happy customer”
I originally downloaded this app because I read a news article about a woman who went missing and wasn’t found for over two months. I wanted to avoid my loved ones ever having to live in ambiguity should I go missing or have anything else tragic happen to me.
However, for consenting parties, It’s incredibly useful to just be able to see that my boyfriend is working late without having to text him and/or plan dinner based on when he leaves work. It definitely requires trust that no one will abuse the insight, but we have nothing to hide from each other and thus this app is all perks/benefits for us.
