SOME FIXES FOR PPL?
LizBeeMe on 2023-04-02
I’ve had the app for a little while now. I’ve never used other tracking apps before cause I refused to use MFP for the price… And I have to say I really do enjoy it. At first, I was getting very frustrated on how it all worked. I thought I had to convert everything and searching for certain foods wasn’t and still isn’t THE best but I’ve come to enjoy typing all my foods nutritional info in. It makes me remember exactly what’s in it and even if I were to find it on the app (which I do sometimes), the information isn’t always accurate, so might as well do it yourself anyway. There was a review of someone talking about MM+ favoring Oz. You can change that. Where it says it, on the right side there should be 3-white dots going up-down, click that and you can choose between many other serving size measurements. This app is pretty awesome, there are flaws with every app, it’s not going to make you happy 100%. I say give this app some time and a real chance, play around with the settings and they do have customer service!
Terrible database, time waste

Database of foods is really seriously lacking. Tried searching for something as basic as Jam. I get two answers, generic jam, no brand names at all. I get . Scan the barcode for a package of bread, the only option is to enter number of grams. How about servings? How about number of slices of bread. No, you have to do the math of 27 grams x 2. Entering the info for a PB&J took 5 minutes instead of 30 seconds. My Fitness Pal works 10 times quicker and is better designed in general. I’m sorry I paid for this app, as much as it pains me I’m going to shell out the $99 for MFP just to avoid the endless hassle and bad design of MM+. Wish I could get a refund.
Could be the best but lacking human design

I want to love this app. It’s helped me lose weight by accurately tracking food, but the interface feels awful. It’s so obnoxious to create a recipe. I have to have every ingredient ready to go otherwise I have to back out and add the individual ingredient and then go back to recipes. Why can’t I create recipes from ingredients instead or use the food library I see when I’m not in recipe mode? It’s also best to search an ingredient in your library because the alphabet Rolodex is too small for accurate human interaction.
Serving size for things like syrup is not shown in tablespoons (or cups etc)
BrandonMN on 2023-04-02
…only in serving size, meaning that when entering food off the barcode scanner you have to check the product label and then enter the fraction or multiple of the serving size. Slows the process of food entry. I wish the app showed the actual quantity of the serving size. I couldn’t find it and had my wife look too. Bummed because the app is awesome in every other way. Deleting, search continues for MFP replacement.
MM+ needs improvement

Nothing about it is intuitive. It could stand to have lots of little i’s or question marks in circles to click on to get pop up balloons that explain features in more detail. It’s a clever business plan, however, to have a subpar app and then entice you to sign up for a monthly subscription to get a smarter app. MM+ might drive me away to be honest.
Average App

It’s a useful app but definitely needs work. Specifically, add ml to measurements. Most liquids are measured in ml on labels; too much back/forth when adding ingredients to recipes to in measurements. Seems at least 1 step can be eliminated. Lastly, the new day should always start with breakfast, not whatever last meal from day before.
Not a good app
Ffhjkjhfff on 2023-04-02
This app requires too much data entry as the bar code scanner does not populate nutritional information accurately. Taking a picture of the nutritional label also does not work right. A very cumbersome app to use, overpriced, and demotivating.
Decent

I’ve used this app every day for over a year. Biggest complaint is the search function is garbage. Search a food at the app says nothing found, go into the app food inventory and their it is. For the price the app is decent enough.
More than one charge
Me,notu on 2023-04-02
So I thought this app was a one time charge, but I’ve been charged three times since I downloaded the app on 2/17/23. I would like to find out what’s going on as well as possibly getting a refund of the additional fees.
App’s got potential, but found it really challenging

Had trouble setting up most of the features, had trouble changing the settings once they were set, had trouble deleting and trying to start over.
