I like in Silverlake, WA!
Lucky&Bud67 on 2020-04-10
The articles are great & factual! But I would like it not to repeat the same things over & over! There is so many things to cover but it is the same articles over & over! A couple times is okay but after that there has to be other good, bad & indifferent would be a very nice change & would help promote the interest in the information you put out there!!! My location doesn’t get the news from near our area either very much!! It would be nice if you could cover Silverlake & Cowlitz County more, that’s where my interest are & I hear very little about my area & the surrounding area!!! Please could you include more about my area & surrounding areas!! I would sure appreciate it! It’s very important to me!!! So PLEASE don’t rerun that over & over either but I would appreciate having the information that pertains to all of us whom live up at Silverlake, WA!! We could really use credible information (news) for the areas I mentioned it!! We REALLY need it!♥️Being very important so please take my review into consideration!!!PLEASE!!! I thank you & hope you will listen to my suggestions!!! Stay safe, wash hands, keep clean social distancing practicing!! New accurate information helps us stay on top of it, so I thank you so much for your time!!! I you will listen and can fix this!! Thank you for your help! Thanks again!‍♂️‍♀️✌‍♂️‍♂️♥️
Overwhelmingly Negative

I downloaded this app almost a year ago. I’ve loved it because it does provide notifications on what’s happening in my local area. However lately with the current COVID-19 crisis, it’s all the app has become about. It’s great for staying up to date on what’s happening with the corona virus, however as someone who struggles with anxiety, I’m disappointed and frustrated that every 3 hours I’m getting a notification for something virus-related. I could understand if it was letting me know about business closures in my area or info on the ever-changing stay-at-home order, but it’s not. For example, the most recent one had to do with the surgeon general predicting a high death toll in the next week and “9/11-like moments.” Last night it was something to do with Trump’s statements about the rising death toll as well. I get that it’s a news app, but it used to give me more info than just the current world crisis. I don’t need to hear about all the bad stuff, I’d love some more wholesome content. However I’ve decided to delete the app as I can’t see that happening anytime soon. Again, great app for staying up to date, but not if you’re already overwhelmed by it all. I’d recommend not downloading until the pandemic starts to clear up. 2 stars would be my current rating, but before all of this I would’ve given it 4.
Despicable content run in ads
Carbonno6 on 2020-04-10
I’m pretty certain I’m not mistaken in that ‘News Break’ advertises on YouTube, and in those ads the content primarily shows people being attacked! The fact that you feel the need to show ad after ad.. with such vulgar content is unquestionably repugnant! I get that it happens and people need to be mindful it may happen to “us”.. that being said, choosing vile content to be shown to random people, those of which had no idea that type of content was going to be displayed. It’s different if it was an ad directed towards someone looking up crime statistics or of the like. That’s not the case and it’s inexcusable! You pathetic pandering weasels!
Good potential - needs a couple changes

I like the mix of national and local news, and feeds seem generally unbiased (i.e., real news). I want to keep this as my only news app but there are a few fixes needed so I can rate this 5 stars: - make the Headline tab second in the order after For You. Even better, allow the user to reorder or remove any tab to their liking. - Have the option to remove the Deals tab. It’s a waste of space for most people and pushes the Headline tab annoyingly to the right (see first recommendation). At least make the Deals all the way to the right if we can’t remove it. - offer a paid, ad free version Do these things and it’s 5 stars.
Don’t Download: Apple Should Remove This App
Beavertonian on 2020-04-10
This app showed up on my iPad today. I don’t know how it got there. I removed it the second it started asking nosy questions during setup. Before you download this app, carefully read some positive reviews and the Developer Responses to the negative ones. The tone and style of the two are the same. I think the developer is planting fake positive reviews. Also note that the Developer Responses usually do not address the specifics of complaints in the negative reveiws. Apple needs to remove this app from the App Store.
Watch out for the bigotry
Spartan teron on 2020-04-10
Just came across a article that was about a Latino that was arrested for wielding a knife and having a standoff with police. In the comments was a person name “maga trump” and their comment read “when will you libtards realize we need to build the wall and kick all these criminals out” I replied with “ one person actions don’t define a entire race” and pointed out the fact that they’re ignorance was the issue. Not even 5 minutes later my comment had been removed. Obviously working toward some agenda...
Good until now
Iorn man 77 on 2020-04-10
They have been good up until now . There messages page is not working when you tap to read your messages and replies all you get now is a black screen and the app freezes up every single time. When you go to the support page is says error code no response. So now peoples comments and replies to your comments cannot be viewed whats more when you tap on a comment to see which article it was for you also get a blank screen and it freezes up as well it would be nice if they fixed there app
Alex Jones!
Sillybeppo on 2020-04-10
Uninstalling. This app had a few problems, however I would have kept it above 4 stars. However while scrolling through my content this morning an Alex Jones info wars piece was presented. Some of his crap about martial law, one world government and coins virus. Any news app/site that wants to promote his or any other persons bs as legitimate news is not going to sit on my phone. 1 Star for promoting sensationalist, conspiracy nut jobs as legitimate news.
New updates tons of ads

Edit on 4/6/2020: News break please fix a issue when clicking on the link I expect for the video play, but yet it’s a totally different video. This is very annoying issue. Dear news break. This app gives good news and keeps me up to date. However you have nailed this app with tons of ads and, the auto play ads as well, by the way FYI auto ads eat up my cellular data. News break should give the option to turn off the auto play ads. Thumbs down for me
Liberal slant

News break is an interesting way to see local news. I enjoy the local news. I am offended by the way you love to run articles that are rude to our President. I know you would never consider running something from Breitbart, like a responsible journal should. News stories are supposed to be informational, not tainted with opinion. If you want to run biased news try using bias from both sides, let us decide what to believe.
