One of the best drawing apps for iPhone
Leonardo282 on 2021-09-20
It’s a very powerful app but perhaps it’s UI could be better, after using it constantly for some days it would be awesome to see: 1. A way to change the position of Size and Opacity sliders (like at the other side of the screen, or at the top or bottom of the screen) so they don’t interfere every two minutes. 2. In Spanish, the “Done” buttons are replaced by “Ok” this makes the -hit box- of the button very small, so we have to tap it many times to successfully touch it, “Ok” could be replaced by “Listo” which is longer and a better translation of “Done”. 3. When tapping a layer (and nothing else) immediately return to the canvas, that would make the experience much faster. 4. When changing the Opacity of a layer we need to see the layer to know when to stop, this was possible in old versions. 5. When selecting a Modify tool, it would be nice to get a long list with all the sub tools available, that would cut the number of taps needed to select a tool from 2 to 1. 6. An option to disable transparency in the upper bar, or make the app captable of seeing if “Reduce transparency” on iOS is turned on.

Hello! I just got this animation app a week or 2 ago and I love it so far! But I really want to use the animation but there are a couple things that are weird to me. So for example the animation instead of using frames you use layers and it’s weird for me because I can’t have my base and line art separate and it’s hard for me to animate like that and maybe some people I don’t know maybe instead is using layers you could just use frames and have the layers separate? And maybe there could be something in the setting to turn it on or off jus run case people like the other way? Just an idea! Also what if you could add music too your animations? That would be awesome! Cause I don’t have an editing app to do that stuff plus I can’t find a good one anyways and you hav Erin pay for some too and I would just love to add music cause then some people will know where to put the certain animation part which would be awesome! I tried to make this as understandable as I could but I hope I can get a respond from my ideas anyways thank you for reading and have a good day!
Wonderful, some suggestions to make better.

Let’s start positive! 1: This app is BEAUTIFUL and INCREDIBLE! This game has colors( BT dubs, my name of my creation is Colorz), and beauty! 2: You can use lots of colors, make pallets, make text, create different kinds of artwork, and SO much more! 3: The app is only 5 DOLLARS! Yes, REAL money. All for a ton of stuff! 4: There is no “Pro Version” of this app. You just pay, and boom! You get the whole thing! And, for the suggestions/downsides. 1: Undo and redo is a little weird. You have to use fingers. Can you just add an undo/redo button? 2: It is great, but can you add tutorials, please? So, this app is great! Just a few suggestions, but other than that, awesome! I wonder why the person who created Procreate didn’t creat Procreate Pocket? Okay, thank you! Edit: Oh, you did. My phone gets Procreate Pocket only.😞🤦🏻Whoops.
As many brushes and creative as it is, it lacks simple details. For example, there is no undo button. I found this pretty upsetting but even if there was, they should make it visible so it’s easy to access. Another thing it lacks is a lasso tool. I can’t select things and move them, the most I can do is redraw it again. Also you can’t change opacity of layers, and you can’t delete drawings. All these annoyed me because they were simple features not included in such a detailed app. And like I said, if there was, they should make it more accessible so it’s quick and easy. But they do have a good amount of brushes, I’ll give them that. But so far I’m not doing well with this app, it was a disappointment. If anybody has any tips for me, please let me know.
I love the app but...

I’m an artist who absolutely loves the app. I use it a lot and think it’s definitely worth the money. Lately however, I have noticed that there is something missing in the actions section, the ‘add’ feature. I’ve been looking online for how to add text to your canvas and have seen that it would be under the add tab. In my app, however, this doesn’t exist. My app is up to date and only thing I could think of is that I’m working with an older iPhone and this feature doesn’t work. While it’s not the end of the world and doesn’t severely hurt my rating of the app, it would be a nice thing to have.
Please add the right hand interface

I'm left handed, and after unfortunately losing my ipad I lost procreate. No biggie, procreate pocket exists and I can still create freely. I enjoy scanning my paper sketches and lining + coloring in app, it's very good. BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE ADD THE RIGHT HAND INTERFACE. I need to be able to adjust the brush size and opacity with my right hand in order to not mess up the flow of the line since I use my left hand for drawing. It's a great app, it really is, but it's been grinding my nerves for months.

I was honestly really disappointed and dissatisfied in what I got from this app. It had been hyped up a lot before I got it. You can't do basic functions like change the opacity of a layer. It took google and YouTube videos to find where some basic things are. This app was severely limiting and overall just frustrating and hard to deal with. This wasn't worth the money spent on it. I hope it improves more in the future.

i have an ipad 2 that i use to draw. its not the biggest thing to draw on but procreate pocket works great since i dont have ios 13 to purchase procreate. the only thing i have a problem with is that the app doesnt completely fill my screen;there are two black bars on the bottom and top. and it can get annoying at times so if you could fix that small problem, it would be perfect! i understand if you cannot though!
Specific Utility

Great as a mobile image editor, and good for stuff at the level of simplicity a phone serves. Example, thumbnail sketches. Can transfer to a more appropriate device when able and continue from there. If you’re expecting the same ease of use on a limited platform for all your complex late stage stuff, you’re using your tools poorly.
“artwork exceeds this device’s capability”
xexvxa on 2021-09-20
The same psd file I can open in the iPad version of Procreate won’t open on iPhone. Gives the error “ artwork exceeds this device’s capability” - idk if it’s a file size issue or what. Would like it if i could grt this to work. Regardless I can’t use the app if I can’t open this file. Will request a refund and hope that works.
