Feeling ecstatic with this new update 4.0
JJeevan on 2021-02-26
I have been procreate user for years now. First of all kudos for the entire time for a job well done. You guys have been amazing and leading developers in the industry, who always listens to user requests and try to bring life to them in every update as possible as you can, after being used to procreate on iPad Pro, I kinda felt unhappy about pocket app and uninstalled it for some time now. After hearing again on media about pocket, I reinstalled pocket app today and it literally blew my mind. You guys are so amazing that you bought life to this app having all the same functionality as iPad Pro, now I feel like I can potentially use it all the time whenever I don’t have my iPad Pro. Granted iPad Pro have bigger screen and have Apple Pencil, but using pocket on my iPhone 12 Pro Max bigger screen making me feel ecstatic and bringing boundless joy to my heart. I can’t wait to see, what the team is planning for all future updates, ‘you guys ROCK’, keep up the good work. Please accept my sincere THANKS from the bottom of all my heart.
Losing focus… for the worse

I love that Savage continues to innovate, but this latest release feels rushed and the entire idea of it being a “pocket” (i.e., small screen) edition is lost or has been jettisoned. Everything is now buried levels deep with a poor user experience that lacks fundamental guidance to help you navigate where you are and what’s available to you as a user. And features like the text widget could be SO MUCH BETTER than they currently are, given the very small screen size and comparatively fat fingertip size. For example: the text widget should have alignment bars that extend out into space so you can properly align objects, especially in 3D space. Trying to see how you’ve positioned text while your finger is over the grab control is literally impossible because your finger mostly obscures it, especially if you have large hands. There are a ton of these little “quality of life” user experience issues that keeps this from being THE drawing app on the iPhone. It’s so close… yet so unfortunately far.
Terrible Read before you buy

This app is terrible, complete waste of money. No offense to the developers but the things you can do is limited. It’s very disorganized looking. And there is NO UNDO BUTTON!!!!! That is something very important in an art app. I’m so mad I wasted my 5 dollars }:(. The brushes are very odd and don’t always cooperate well. I’m very disappointed in this. I would not advise buying this. I thought this would be as amazing as the iPad version but unfortunately not. The eraser is very odd as well. This app is really crammed into a small amount of space. Something I absolutely despise in an art app is complications. It looks very disorganized and is very difficult to cooperate. I’m sorry developers it’s just not up to my standards.

I’ve never had Procreate on my iPad but recently I got it on my phone and lemme tell you this.. it’s amazing! . At first It was a little hard to navigate through the app since they don’t give you a “tour” that other apps usually give, but after a day or two I had enough understanding of the app. Pros: Easily to learn and navigate through the app Cute and let’s your creativity run wild Affordable Easily portable Cons: The app doesn’t have a back button (so when you mess up you can’t undo Doesn’t have a tour May seem inconvenient if you have a smaller phone Anyways thanks Procreate for the wonderful app
Double tap is broken and more
i want no wifi to listen to it on 2021-02-26
So i spent about 1 hour drawing and I finished so I exited and I looked at old drawings I can back to the top of my drawings and the picture was completely white, I got confused and tapped on the picture so I could see what happened, so I saw that my hour of work was gone and over the outline was a big white box, all the coloring was gone, all the shading was gone, and most of the outlines were also gone, it has happened before but only with the double tap (back) and if u could please fix this glitch or bug that would be a blessing and I’m very sad that my art is ruined, but I know that u can’t get it back.
It was nice at first

The newest update has been really confusing. I do hope that they change background back to white, because the black has been confusing me. And with this new update, it’s not nice to look at after I’m so used to the white background. Some of the new things that have been added are also confusing, but mostly I just want an option to have either black or white background. Update I’m not happy about you changing the limit of layers, you better change that back. People need more than just 27 layers total. You guys seriously screwed up in this update. Change the limit back to 40 now or soon.

So i’ve had pocket procreate for a little while now and since the animation/ dark mode?? update happened it’s been glitching me out. I actually started keeping track of how long it takes for it it glitch and it can go from 11 minutes to a couple of hours. Okay so when it happens it freezes my screen. I tried turning it off and it only dimmed my screen. It takes about a minute sometimes two to unfreeze. But when it unfreezes it turns off the phone and takes away some of my progress in my current drawing- NOT from all of them just the one i was on. Anyone else have this problem?
Not worth the money
@Lilys__lovelies on 2021-02-26
I want to start out by saying, most of the time, the app does not work. If I drag my finger across the screen to draw, it almost never actually draws. I never had this problem with the original procreate on my iPad, but I can’t get past it on my iPhone. The lack of features is also a bummer. Instead of the undo arrows, you have to double and triple tap, which never works either. It lags and just forms dots when I double/triple click. And I would also love to see a cloud transfer, where I can move my drawings from my iPad to my phone, to work on them from either device.
Would be 5 Stars if...
Hollypop101 on 2021-02-26
This app would be five stars because I purchased it and it was working fine until today. I was working on a drawing with black ink and then wanted some color so I went up to the color wheel and found that all I had for colors was grey, white, and black. I restarted the whole app but that didn’t work. I then restarted my whole phone and that didn’t work either. So now all I have is grey, white, and black to draw with. If this problem gets fixed I will edit my review and give it 5 stars but until then, it’s getting 2.

Procreate has always been my go-to drawing program. It can do almost everything you could ever need and more. Now with this new update, iPhone procreate is literally just as good as iPad procreate. Before when it was lacking in features compared to the iPad, I never used procreate pocket unless I was going out somewhere where my iPad couldn’t be brought. Now it’s not a compromise! Especially with its built in pressure sensitivity, I can make art here that’s just as good as on the iPad, and animate now to boot!
