When have this app start charging ?? One month it charges me $2.99 && another month it charged me $5.34 . Not sure why it’s charging me but I rather not download an remote app that I would have to pay for . Rather not do && the fact that it’s charging my card that I see no records of on Roku that I filled or even made a purchase on the app is ridiculous. Yes it was a great app before it start charging me. The fact this app still charging me but I have NO ACCOUNT with them but yet they charging my card (unauthorized) . I’ve contact my card company && they told me to contact Roku && haven’t seen where I could contact nor email them or even a toll- free number . This is sad you have people hacking your card just from downloading an app . Never again . Today this app is still trying to charge me the fact I’ve tried to reach out to Roku they still won’t or haven’t solve my problem there’s no number to contact them very unprofessional. Where is the on chat agent
I used to love using my phone as a controller, as I have the TCL Roku TV (so the TV’s main platform automatically opens to the Roku screen, i.e. not cable TV). This all worked seamlessly for the past 2 years until Roku’s new update. I updated all of my devices (TV, phone) and the issue would not resolve. I had the iPhone X and just got the new iPhone 13 Pro - still not resolved, so it’s not my device’s issue. I also have a very old tv that uses the Roku Express (which is about 1 year old) and that connects with to Roku controller just fine. It’s only my Roku specific TV. There are no other apps I can use with my Roku specific TV. Will be staying away from Roku in the future!!!!
It works perfectly when I’m just trying to use the direction buttons, but the volume buttons trigger me. When I’m listening to music and I want to turn it up a bit it’ll turn up way to fast or not go where I want it to. I’ll be listening at a 5 and try and turn it up to 6, but it turns up to 49 or won’t go up at all. When that happens I just want to stop listening, because it makes me anxious. I don’t like to bother people while I’m listening to my music. I just want it to be loud enough for me to listen to in my room without someone in the living room complaining. That’s pretty much my only complaint.
I used to LOVE the Roku app! And to be fair, when it does work, it’s outstanding. However it is constantly disconnecting and trying to “wake
me device” when the device is currently running and streaming. The only way to fix it that I’ve found is to hard reset the TV. Then it will work for about 30 minutes or so, until I need the remote again. It will then be disconnected all over again. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app as well, to no avail. Not sure if anyone else is having these same issues. If they can fix it - 5 stars for sure!
So this app works fine for controlling various roku devices. I can power on my roku tvs just fine due to the setting “fast tv start”. Roku streaming stick+ not so much. If I powered on the stick with physical remote it is available in app. However, if I want to power on with app it is always shown as “not found on network”. Yes WiFi network is the same on phone as stick. I believe stick needs update to feature a fast start option, or WiFi wake. Control by mobile apps is set to default, tried permissive same failure.
Hi Roku! I love this app it helps a lot but it’s really confusing last time I had no internet connection on here but I did on games and other things. So I deleted it and downloaded again and it worked only once! So I deleted it again and downloaded it again to but it’s still not working it says must connect to devices or something but I don’t know where it says that and how to do that I’m really confused and don’t know what to do.I love this app a lot but it leaves me confused? Hope you can fix whatever’s wrong
So about two months ago I lost my control. I wasn’t sure if a friend had tooken it as a joke or something, because I couldn’t find it anywhere in my house. I downloaded the app and it’s so easy to use!! I ended up finding the controller in a suit case which is just weird but the app helped me till I found the control!! Also, I have led lights that are sound activated… so when I use the controller and my leds are on the lights go all crazy🥲🥲. I just think the app is very helpful!!!
The app is great.. But only for about the 10% time it actually connects to my roku. Doesn’t matter whether i’m on the same home network, or if my ROKU TV is on or off I’m lucky to get a single connection every 3 or 4 days. It shouldn’t be too big of a deal seeing as I really only need the volume button but my TV doesn’t have a built in volume adjuster so only being able to connect to the app once or twice a week really makes this seem kinda pointless
I have a Roku 3. Admittedly this is an older model but the remote it came with originally had a headphone jack. The remote has stopped working and the app has been useful to be able to still use the roku. However, for some reason the private listening option on the app is not available when connected to my Roku3. A major ripoff given that this system was sold to me with a headphone jack.
This app use to work great, now I’m lucky if it even shows one of my five roku devices. It’s very annoying because sometimes I’ll have to remove app then download again to make it show all devices and most times that still doesn’t work. The little wait time rotation icon just spins and spins and spins and nothing ever happens. Very annoying so I will be uninstalling app once again for good.
