Thought it a 5, but no, it is not
Frogmore Farm FL on 2020-07-15
I’ve had SkyView for several years and thought it was great; would have rated it a five. But after all the news coverage of Comet Neowise I thought I’d try using the app to find it. Nope; search returns nothing. Brightest Northern Hemisphere comet since Hale-Bopp but the app doesn’t know of it? That was a letdown. I was also frustrated to learn that the developer site - terminaleleven(dot)com - has no help functionality or really anything but a sales pitch. Clearly, once you get the app they’re done with you. I give it 2 stars because it is really pretty good as long as nothing new comes along in the night sky, and as long as the user has no questions.
No comet Neowise?

Yes the app is awsome and I used the free one for years. The paid version offers satellites which is very cool and worth the 1.99. But you’d think they could add the Neowise comet which is the brightest thing in the sky and a rare sight to see!. Disappointed that it’s not in the search or available on screen. Oh well, maybe they’ll add it next time around in 6000 years.

I paid for this app years ago and love it. I’ll even love it after NEOWISE is gone. But I’m definitely disappointed that the developers haven’t addressed this, at all. One of the biggest events in the night sky and all is quiet over here in SkyView land. May have to search out another app, in case this comes up again.
I love it except…

… That it never appears to be accurate. It’s not just this particular time but right now I’m looking up at the sky and I see Jupiter and Saturn easily hand apart in the sky. The app shows them one on top of the other. Every time I look up I see some thing that is different from what’s on the app and I don’t know why…
Great product for a great price!

Great app that is educational and fun. The only thing that keeps it from a 5 is that it does not update when there is a comet in the area like NEOWISE is right now, so you can track where it is currently in the sky. I think with that one improvement this would be the greatest app ever
Does not work

I wish I could go lower on stars, because this was my favorite app and now it has failed. Bought new ipad pro and now app does not work, screen will not rotate to find view i am pointing to. The rotation icon on my ipad is off so I know that is not the cause.
Love the SkyView App
AMP iPhone on 2020-07-15
I love looking at the stars, planets, and other things in the sky. I have a couple of apps that let me know what’s up there but this app, at least for me, is user friendly and very informative. Thank you for creating this app.

I paid for the app because the free one was just bs, an every planets location is dramaticly inaccurate, I'm not sure what the issue is but I didn't pay for this app for it to be full of crap.
Nice app but planet are misaligned
RenzoCastagnino on 2020-07-15
I like all the features of the app except that the real planets doesn’t match the position of the ones projected by app. Even when I manually try to calibrate, they can’t get correctly aligned
Lame. Not worth two dollars
DemetriusWI on 2020-07-15
I’ve enjoyed the light version for a long time and paid two dollars so I could track the comment in this app does not track comments and that’s pretty pathetic. So I wasted two dollars
