Addictive but Glitching
257Star on 2020-02-26
This is my first time playing this game in any format. I had heard a lot of good things about this game. I agree at this game is addictive when starting. I still kind of have fun, despite all the issues I am having. Maybe it first game I bought on here and didn’t want money to be wasted. However, I ran into glitch from the beginning, I restart the game file about 5+ time and I didn’t even get past day one of actually play. I could not get the tutorial to appear!! I guess on controls, before I discover tutorial only show when completed skip of all beginning cut scenes. I tested this several times, and I don’t get all the tutorial. I didn’t know how to attack in mine, and fishing I finally got idea on what to do for it. Another glitch is sometimes game will freeze for a few minutes, or will not let you talk to person even if you have not talk to them that day, and they’re just stand around town. For example, I tried talking to Raven at bridge, no response just end up standing next to her. But, it back to normal and can talk to them again after restart day or next day. The big con of game is that it hard to move because of control and can easy accidentally click or do things. I think I accidentally gifted or attack villager several times before next month in game. The fishing controls is hard to catch a fish.
Love it, but a few problems

I absolutely love Stardew Valley and I play it on my computer and my phone. Honestly, I prefer it on my phone but I have noticed a few issues. Hence the deduction of one star. I suppose they’re glitches? First thing I noticed was that I can’t go through the trash cans. Second thing is that Caroline’s tea room isn’t there. The door just isn’t there in their kitchen. Also, even though Emily does the whole “you can use my sewing machine” cut scene, the sewing machine is nowhere to be found in her house! I compared the house in the app and the house on the computer and it’s missing the whole room. I can’t make clothes in the app version. It’s kind of frustrating. That’s all I’ve noticed so far but there’s definitely some differences. I do love it though and I really enjoy being able to save as I go. It’d be nice to be able to co-op though! Thanks for making it available in app form, I love it.
Great Game
Gamergurl11 on 2020-02-26
Love this game, but could you please redesign the fishing controls for ios. Can’t fish at all with the current controls when you get a hit. The green box is virtually uncontrollable on the iphone mobile game and the same with the combat in the mines. So far on the upper levels of the mine it is ok, but lower down you can die easily because the controls are terrible. Fishing is a no. You can cast but the mini game once you catch a fish is unplayable. It’s very annoying that you can’t play a big part of the game because the controls don’t work. This has been an issue for quite a while based on the reviews online. I have tried different configurations in the settings and still no. Please fix it. It’s a great game and it’s a shame to not be able to enjoy the whole game and a large part of the game. Would be a five star game if I could actually fish and stop dying in the deeper mine levels!!!!
Love Love Love This Game

Have owned Stardew on steam for years and play regularly. Sooo excited to see that it was on iPad. The adjustments made to make it iPad friendly have been brilliant, and I have spent so many hours re-loving this game all over again. Love the newest update on steam but I actually prefer playing on my iPad with my pencil. So, I’m really looking forward to the new PC update coming to iOS. Hope it’s soon! And the ability to co-op. Biggest heartbreak of the iOS version is that my hubby and I can’t play together anymore. He’s more upset at that then I am, because I spend hours playing without him now. Only thing functionally that really annoys me with the game is that there is not ability to drop things from your inventory. You have to trash the items, which is so sad. I miss that.
It’s pretty good, but....

It’s pretty good but, it NEEDS multiplayer. You see I’ve been playing SDV for about 2-3 years now. I play it on PC, switch, and IPhone X. I got the game on IPhone when it first came out thinking multiplayer would already be there but no, too my surprise multiplayer was nowhere to be found. When I noticed this I stopped playing after about a week, I bought the game for my entire family to play multiplayer cause we all love the game. We were disappointed when we found out that multiplayer wasn’t there, but I guess what I’m trying to say is please add multiplayer soon people are getting anxious over when the next update comes out. You haven’t updated in 2 Months, so please, add multiplayer for the sakes of you fans. --unsatisfied customer (I’ve always wanted to put that there)

I’ve never written a review for a game before but I felt the need to for this game. Overall, this game is amazing, definitely worth the 8 dollars. The graphics are beautiful, the game is really chill, and it’s just so addictive. I bought it yesterday and played it for HOURS. The mechanics for the most part are great. I say ‘most part’ because the one only thing I have a problem with is how to fish... the mini game you have to play to catch a fish is near to impossible to beat and it’s so frustrating. Please fix that developers. This game is supposed to be relaxing... and it is until you try to fish. So overall this game is amazing, definitely worth it, but just wish the fishing mechanics were different is all.
Fun but has issues

This game is really fun and relaxing, it's an experience of everything in one game, there's so many things to do in it. Though I would suggest adding more festivals and differences within each year or it's not worth doing it at about 3rd year, mobile updates are much slower than pc ones, it can't really keep up. I've finished a lot of things by now but I really don't think I'm coming back to this till 1.4 releases on mobile iOS.p.s:To all of you who complains on the fishing mechanics, it's easier for me on mobile than on pc, try geometry dash on mobile than back to this, it'll be way easier trust me.
My fav. Farming RPG & the best too.

As a huge Stardew Valley fan I’m really happy that I can play the game anywhere and anytime. It’s still the incredibly fun and lovable game that I’ve come to love, however this version has a few flaws that need to be fixed. For example, sometimes when I’m running around looking for forage to sell, the game will lag and move in slow motion. Sometimes the controls will stick and won’t change. Plus, this version lacks the new content and updates that PC and console versions received. Otherwise, the game is just fine, and is still a lot of fun. It’s definitely worth trying if you’re looking for something new to try. :)
BEST mobile game.

I usually don’t write reviews, and only do so if the game is exceptionally good. Stardew Valley is BY FAR the best mobile game I have ever played. You can do soooooooo much for just a cheap $5. In my opinion, I would rank it with my other most favorited games. I never played the harvest moon games. The gameplay is exceptional. I have NEVER had any save errors, lag, or any other annoying bugs. It’s amazing how much there is to this game. True, most of the game is dedicated around farming, but there are so many ways to have fun. I once played for 5 hours straight. It’s super addicting.
No multiplayer in 1.4
dci on 2020-02-26
Waited forever for this version to come out so I could play multiplayer with my kids. Finally update today and there is still no co-op mode... Huge disappointment. I’ve bought this game so many times on so many platforms and I like iOS the most despite always having to wait for features. But this is a real let down. We’ve done it on the Switch before, but the screens too small and there are no touch controls. PC is fine is you want to be tethered to the PC. But both my kids and I use our iPads more frequently. Once again, just a huge disappointment from a game we love.
