This game is based on a game called “Harvest Moon” which is essentially an rpg lite farming simulator on the Super Nintendo. It has more things added like a dungeon for spelunking, quests with people in the town and plenty of other busy work. There is a lot of content in the game and things that will keep you busy and is certainly worth the price. The only gripes I have are the touch controls, none of which feel particular good to use, at least on a small device like a phone. The energy meter mechanic feels shoe horned in, only to pad out gameplay and simply make things take longer. I find it unnecessary since each day is already timed, requiring you to go to sleep and start a new day by a certain time, and it just further limits you to what you can do each day, thus dragging out the gameplay time. The game is also rather grindy at times, once again dragging and padding out the play time even further. Probably the most frustrating part is how the game suspends or auto saves. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to how or when it will, and it seems to be up to chance, when you load the game back up, it will “pick up where you left off” or simply have you load the game from the start of the current day. This has lead to losing roughly 1.5 hours of gameplay as sometimes when I open the game back up, not only did it close in the background, but it has me start the day over. Combine that with the random bug that locks you into opening a chest or shipping bin, forcing you to close the game, open it back up, and start the day over results in more lost time. All in all, the game is okay but don’t expect anything great. At the end of the day, I find it’s a good time killer.
oh my actual hecking gosh…this is-

this is amazing! for a farming game you managed to succeed! I already love this game! basically one day i looked at this game and thought : “ah another farming game, i’m probably gonna get more bored and quit” but no! this actually shares a similar concept with animal crossing pocket camp / new horizons! it’s a really good game too! according to the internet, i assume this is a indie game, and you actually managed to succeed for once! i don’t exactly have any issues to say right now, in fact if i had to choose between a terrible graphic and bland story game, or a farming game, i’d choose star dew valley! it is definitely worth the money! i 100% recommend giving it a try, you will not regret it! :D and to top it off, this game has no ads, no issues i’ve ran into so far, and basically, there’s pretty much some things to do here! you can farm, fish, etc! this is gonna be my #1 farming indie game i might play sometimes when i’m bored! so, if your interested in farming / indie games, get this one! i’m sure you won’t regret it for the price, as for ads, there isn’t any at all! for a mobile game, i’d give this 10/ 10! i don’t really have much pet peeves so far! i might learn throughout the game and progress more, but so far, i’m already liking this! i think you really need to give this a try! i 100% recommend!

Stardew Valley is the best game I have ever played. It is really engaging and fun! I love all the NPCs and the whole style of the game! The main reason I love it is because you do not have to just be a farmer, there are tons of things to do, and you are never bored. You can mine, fish, cook, decorate, up your friendship with NPC’s, and plenty of other things! The quests, challenges, and goals, are so engaging and fun, and when you complete something you have been trying to for a while it is the best feeling in the world! You can also play at your own pace, its not a race, and you can do whatever you want whenever you want, you have complete freedom and creativity. You want to spend every second of the day in the mines, and not plant seeds until year 7? Go for it! You want to become a master fisher, and have a thriving seafood business? Get started right away! There really are no limits, and you have complete creative freedom. So, do what I said up top 🔝, and 🌺GET THIS GAME RIGHT NOW!🌺 Also, unrelated to the actual creativity, and how fun the game is, but I really like how it gives you the option to marry male and female NPC’s, regardless of what gender your player is. I feel like a lot of games don’t include this.
So much fun!

Wow, I never actually thought I’d enjoy this game as much as I am currently. I absolutely cannot stand farming games as well as pixelated RPG style games but Stardew Valley is an outright blast! There’s so much to do and each and every character has their own story and unique personality! I love how realistic everything is. You’re required to either stock up on energy either through food or rest instead of just having an infinite amount of energy. I also like that there’s combat, something I actually didn’t expect to see until I was attacked by bats and stone golems lol. My only gripes are: 1. The location of inventory items on the left side of the screen. This often gets in the way when trying to walk and sometimes I end up accidentally giving important items to random people or using the wrong tool on my crops, thus destroying them completely. 2: Fishing is a tad bit too difficult IMO. This could just be me but I never have any luck with fishing due to it feeling impossible to keep up with the meter. I love a challenge but I feel as though it could be dulled down at least a tiny bit, at least for certain areas or types of fish. Heck, I wouldn’t even mind a level lock.
A very nice way to feel calm…until

I play the game on my new iPad. The game shuts down in middle, or worse, at the end of a day. It had stopped until 9/11/2021. Character stutters, game locks up preventing player from saving game at mid point. On 9/12/2021, trying to upgrade a second coop to the highest level took me two RL hours since the game continued to stutter when I entered the carpenters house then shut off! I am unable to get the gold statue of Mayer Lewis, as I am unable to Right Click on an iPad. I’ve tried using tall the tools behind his house, as I do to forage behind the theater & collect the plushie behind the community center. I was told iPad players COULD get the statue, but I’ve tried everything possible w/o success. I selected the farm w/small islands so my ducks would swim, as I’ve noted they’re supposed to do on the latest updates. Sadly, ducks do not go into the water. Yes, I leave the gate open. But no swimming ducks. Please advise if iPad/iPhone players can accomplish the same as PC players. I will accept the truth w/o whining because my frustration NOT being able to do the above tasks will be gone with a straight answer. Thank you.

Stardew Valley is an amazing and cute game. I really recommend downloading it. But sometimes there are random glitches. Like sometimes when I’m playing, the music and sound effects will stop and then a few minutes later it’ll just bring me back to my Home Screen. And I’ve been trying to make a new game and when I was making my character, I was trying to change the name but it didn’t work. Instead, after I closed the keyboard nothing would show up and all the buttons stopped working and my only choice was to close the app. I did this 4 times and I haven’t been able to make my new character. But overall, the game is fun and I love playing it.
Great, but…

I absolutely love this game. I enjoy waking up and going to water my plants, and hanging out with all of the civilians. I do have a few recommendations though, I think you should be able to customize your outfit, and I think your animals should be able to help fight for you in the mines, but other than that this game is beyond satisfying. It does cost money, but it is 110% worth it. You should definitely download it!!!
Love this game but it keeps crashing!
birdbath54 on 2021-09-20
I just found out about this game last week and I am obsessed but my app keeps crashing and I have to start the day over. I played the same day like 4 different times until I finally just went to bed immediately after waking up so I could skip to the next day. Then I get through the entire next day and it crashes again! 😭 This is the only issue I have had so far, otherwise I would give 5 stars.
Save your money

I PURCHASED this game as I read a review that it was the best farming game, it had no restrictions, blah, blah, blah. First, the graphics are poor and second, there are no real instructions on how you are supposed to do anything. I’m sorry I spent money on this, but grateful it was only $5! Save yourself some money and find something free.
Please Update the Fishing Mechanics!
Twiggy 38 awsome on 2021-09-20
I love this game but quite literally the biggest problem I have is the fishing mechanics! It’s nearly impossible to manage and I’ve tried more times than I can keep track of. I wish the fishing was somewhat easier as it was on PC because I know I’m not the only player to have difficulty with it. Please please please update it somehow!🙏🏻
