I have been a beta tester for years. I have routinely given feedback for releases. Today. I logged in to give feedback about the horrible predictions in version 2.7.4 and found that I have been permanently deleted for no given reason. I have always reviewed SwiftKey highly but give honest feedback. You ask for feedback but when you are told the truth, you delete users. I have never been disruptive in the comments. I figured out because I kept trying to log in and could not. I went through old emails and found an old email from support where someone commented on one of old posts and see this Permanently deleted user. My exact comment was, "The flow accuracy and predictions have gotten increasingly worse for me" and I got deleted. That's it for me. MicroSOFT - Horrible predictions AND butt hurt. I'm good and done.
I can only find a handful of issues with this keyboard so far...
There is no way to delete a whole word at once. I've used keyboards that allow you to swipe from the backspace button, it would completely delete the previous word. I've seen some that have a back arrow with the word "word" in the top area, that also deletes the whole previous word. I just hate having to click the backspace button repeatedly. The other thing is, there needs to be more long press &/or swipe up or down on key options for symbols. There also needs to be a resizing option for the keyboard. The size now on my iPad Pro in landscape, takes nearly the whole screen for the keyboard. Perhaps, I'm spoiled on TouchPal, that I've been using with these features on my iOS devices for years.
I've been using SwiftKey for a long time (I wanna say over 3-4 years now) so I figured it was time to give it a proper review. SwiftKey is intelligent, efficient, and works beautifully. The auto-complete features save me tons of time and pick up on things I frequently type. The default color themes have a good variety, but I love the ability to customize my keyboard with my own photos. It's also very easy to swap back and forth between SwiftKey and the default iPhone keyboard. It even has neat little stats like how many typos the keyboard has corrected for you, how many words it predicted, etc. Not to be dramatic, but I would be lost without this keyboard!
Hello guys Something’s hopefully to add it and fix it:
First the haptics feedback doesn’t work with words predictive and the emojis when I choose
Also make this feature in the keyboard you can translate languages and past any text in the keyboard and translated like google Gboard
Also if I want to search about any emojis plz make this feature works without internet
Last but not least make the gif loading fast and support stickers
At the end thank you so much for making this keyboard much love
I tried SwiftKey out of frustration with Apple's spell-correct. SwiftKey worked great at first, but over time the quality of the correction deteriorated: it would not flag obviously misspelled words, refuse to correct them, and not fix words with trivial mistakes (e.g., one letter off by one key position). These are all issues with the default keyboard and correction that drove me nuts. But when it works it works well. And I like having the option of a permanent number row.
Recently, there appears to have been some changes with this product, one of which causes it to put. End of sentence periods. Throughout the dictation whether you want them or not. Period. In other words, whenever I am dictating. It. Ends the sentence. Frequently as you can see in this example. It did not used to do that, and I don't know how to fix it, but it's pretty annoying. I found myself having to go back and correct things much more frequently than I used to.
Keyboard doesn't load sometimes on iPhone SE, iOS 13. When loading the keyboard in landscape mode, the iOS default keyboard is visible but not interactable. Switching to portrait mode causes this rendering to render half off screen - the landscape iOS keyboard renders in portrait mode. All this time, SwiftKey doesn't load in. Seems to be happening more frequently in web apps added to the home screen. Bug seems to persist in those apps but not appear in others.
Swiftkey is a decent keyboard. Of course once you go to swiping, you'll never good back to typing.
However there's one major drawback for me with this app. On occasion it will type the wrong word and even more frequently if you type bilingual text. Hitting the back key takes me back one letter at the time. This could be annoying especially on longer words. If typed the wrong word the back key should wipe out the WHOLE word so it can be tried again.
I love this app, but I’m still waiting for haptic feedback for each letter typed. Requested the feature and talked with them more than a year ago about this and it’s still not added. Google’s keyboard added it, but their keyboard is a much lower quality than this one. Please add it soon.
Edited: they have added haptic feedback. This keyboard is now perfect! Took them two years since I first communicated with them, but I'm glad it's here now
The app was good and had it for about 2 years on android then switched to Apple and got this keyboard for a few months, but afterwards it sorta started to freeze a bit on me which was annoying since I liked it a lot. The keyboard would tweak out and put periods or spell the words different and at first I thought it was just something in the settings but it wasn’t. Please fix the issues and perhaps I might download it again.
