Bad Night For Uber
Wonderrdul sianah on 2020-02-24
Around 9:30 I placed an order with Subway and immediately I got a driver. After about 15 minutes I noticed the driver was driving opposite of the route displayed. At 9:53 I got a call from Subway stating that they were about to close and the driver has not arrived. My main issue with this situation is that I was not able to contact the driver whatsoever. On the option it said I could only contact until "after she arrived" which she never did. Im still confused as to why she never arrived. After contacting customer support they refunded the money. So I decided to give them a second chance within the same night, which was an even bigger mistake. I placed an order with Ihop around 10:30 (I thought this wouldn't be an issue as they close at 12). Once I received my driver he was sitting in the same spot for over 40 minutes. The time of arrival was delayed over 3 times. But still I was trying to be patient. Around 11:45 I finally see that he began moving. It shows he made it to the location, and not even 3 minutes later Uber sends a message saying they had to switch drivers because he cancelled. Now the time was pushed back to 12:05 when they close at that 12:00!! The new driver makes it there and I contact Ihop. She literally tells me that I placed the order at the wrong location when I have no option to even decide! Uber does all of that for you. She continues to tell me that my order was most likely thrown out since I ordered it at 10:30. The new driver was there waiting since before 12 but they said they turned off all the grills and could make the order but not everything purchased would be cooked. I decided to just cancel because I didn't want to add additional stress because I know how it is when you're trying to close. After talking to customer support for a second time, they handled everything once again. My issue is not with Ubereats itself because I understand that they cannot control instances like this happening, but they definitely have to improve in certain areas. Whether that be the drivers they hire or the restaurant's they choose. It just seems as if the drivers are so careless and to not even be able to get in contact with them makes it worse. I should not be waiting 2 hours for food just for it to be cancelled in the end. Ultimately there is a need for more quality drivers!
Held hostage by Uber
Vgrafe1 on 2020-02-24
Uber Support is nonexistent, they strategically wait just long enough to reply (after you’ve jumped through hoops to even be able to get ahold of them, that is) so they can justify not resolving your issues and then their employees can select “no response needed” so that they have the final word and you can no longer use the chat support function to dialogue with them in regards to your issue, despite the fact that you WANT to respond and are still not satisfied with their response. Basically they hold their customers hostage, shame on them! I’m gonna go ahead and edit this review to reiterate my message since the developer replied a standard reply encouraging me to use Uber’s help feature, WHICH I DID and they still failed to resolve my issue. Issue my refund or stop issuing blanket responses. If you want to sent me a custom response, it’s my username on this review Otherwise, your customer service BLOWS and you know it. Getting ahold of your CS team requires heaps of patience and creativity instead of being straight forward so no thank you. Step. Your. Game. Up!!! Updated 2/21: STOP REPLYING TO ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS WITH THE SAME BLANKET RESPONSE THAT DOESN’T EVEN ADDRESS MY CONCERNS. This is why you went from #2 to #3 in the Food category on the App Store and I will continue updating and reposting this review every time you disrespectfully ignore my simple request. Want to make it right? Issue my refund. The end. Not that complicated, is it?
$20 coupon: eats-zxha9
ufjsafhajs105 on 2020-02-24
First of all, if you haven’t placed an order yet with Uber Eats make sure you use the coupon above to get $10 off your first order! Enter it right before you request an order in the promotions tab. Might as well try it out since it probably won't cost you a thing! The app is easy to use and intuitive, much more so than other food delivery apps I’ve used. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. The average delivery takes around 30 minutes, and if available, instant delivery is even faster. I’ve had some orders deliver within minutes. The restaurant selection is really good, and the app does a good job of narrowing down what kind of cuisine you want. Sometimes the selection choice is actually overwhelming. They do narrow the choices down by providing their top picks out of all restaurants. And then they narrow it down even further by showing top meals for each restaurant. I like that it shows ratings for the restaurants, something that other food delivery apps don't do. I usually only pick restaraunts with 4.6 rating or above. Otherwise the food is usually a disappointment. That said, I’ve discovered a lot of new restaurants in the city just from using Uber Eats. So far I’ve used Eats in San Francisco, Chicago, NYC, Toronto and it’s been great every time! Overall you should definitely give it a try, especially with the $10 coupon I gave you!
Bad Drivers and Customer Service
Shhibby on 2020-02-24
Set standards for your employees, Uber. God awful experience with both the driver and customer service agent. I normally don’t use these services, but do to a long day at work, a few glasses of wine and an empty pantry I decided to use this app. The Driver decided not to deliver our order for no reason and “didn’t know how to cancel the order”. Therefore I was left in limbo waiting for over an hour. I thought, hey things happen. Then I decided to check on the tracking and the guy was driving the completely opposite direction and over 25 min away! I called the support number and they called the driver to find out he didn’t know how to do their job. They didn’t know how to cancel my order and didn’t contact myself or Uber?! Come on.. Customer service offered to cancel my order or have the restaurant hold it and I go pick it up. I’m not looking for free money or a free meal, but the whole point of your app is to deliver my food and take my money. Please, don’t just hire a random John/Jane that can’t use a phone to contact someone if they can’t complete their job. Use another delivery service app!
UBER Rats on 2020-02-24
I will never use UBER Eats again unless every dime of my money is returned. I watched the driver, drive completely in the wrong direction! I tried to text him but he wouldn’t answer me. Then I called UBER to find out what was going on. I watched, just as Uber did, them drive around with my food for over a half hour. All Uber Eats would say is once the order is prepared, they cannot refund my money. They knew there was a problem with “Billy” the driver. They had tried multiple times to contact him and he finally answered. Tried to claim they were delivering other orders, which was a lie. Just received a call from ”Ann” at Uber Eats in California. Phone # 1-415-949-2966. I spoke with 3 different people and not 1 of them spoke English well enough to understand what they were saying! They will only say “There is nothing they can do”. Pathetic. You lost my business, everybody use Door Dash unless you want to get ripped off!!!!
Poor Service
hollywood2go on 2020-02-24
I will not be ordering from Uber Eats after this last “delivery.” And by “delivery” I mean I never received my order. I followed instructions to be ready when the app notified me that the driver was nearby, and he never came to the door. Nor did he try to contact me that he was having any sort of issue finding my place (past deliveries have always made it seamlessly to my door). When I checked my app again it states that my order was delivered...which it most certainly was not. When trying to report this issue the app does not have a clear cut way to report. Uber provides a phone number to contact for help, but that has been disconnected. You can’t even clearly report an issue with the driver, just the order itself. Horrible system and I will strongly recommend against Uber Eats. If you scroll through you’ll see many more accounts of people having the same issue of crap customer service and help from Uber.
Uber Eats driver here: update actual operating hours!
Kelike2812 on 2020-02-24
First of all, the review from Thursday 2/20 is a 5 star with random letters as the reviewers name and a coupon code! Maybe you should take that down, Uber, as it looks quite shady. Secondly, fix the app so orders don’t go through to places who won’t fix orders past the time they close the kitchen! Twice in less than 48 hours and a $20 loss for me. Even if the restaurant lists as closing at 10, make sure they don’t close the kitchen to deliveries early! When this happens, the order is accepted by Uber Eats and sent to me, but the order was never sent through and accepted by the restaurant. This has happened maybe 3-4 times in over a year, but 2 of those times in less than 2 days. I’ll probably end up having to call the restaurant directly and make sure these orders are received before wasting time, money and gas just to be declined. And, no, $3 compensation doesn’t always work.
Wish I could give ‘Zero’ rating

I called your helpline today (20/02/2020) at 8:25 pm and spoke to a representative named Robin. I had to cancel an order that I accidentally placed while browsing the app. Upon calling the customer support line, I asked the guy to cancel the order. At first, he said order cannot be cancelled and restaurant already started preparing food which is a false statement. Restaurant doesn’t start making food in 1 minute. Robin threatened me that there will be a negative charge on my account next time ordering food delivery or to book a ride. This is utterly frustrating and disrespectful to a customer who called the helpline within a moment after placing an order ACCIDENTALLY. It seems now that the order has been cancelled but I want to make sure that there is no negative charge on my account. Please confirm me in written.
Worst tech support in the world
Relapse3 on 2020-02-24
Each tech support response I get is so robotic it’s ridiculous. I’ve been at this for a day and it’s been 15 emails of the same ridiculous nonsense of them asking me for more details and more photos and to just reinstall the app and reset my phone or update the software and now they want me to add more payment methods??? How is that relevant to neither Uber or Uber Eats working at all? My ride history is wiped out, I can’t take rides, and on top of that the help section is gone dudes. As non-existent as their tech support because it just seems to be a bunch of automated responses with a bunch of generic names. I can’t even talk to them in the app because it’s not working and on Facebook, it’s just as generic.
I’m sad now.

I wanted some pancakes, that’s all. Just a nice small breakfast but nooooo stupid app won’t allow that, garbage website won’t allow it either. First it says it won’t accept my debit card so I delete the app in anger. Then I’m like “oh wait maybe we just typed it in wrong” so I redownload the app to try again and there’s no login. So I mess around there for a bit and still all I want is pancakes I’d even settle for French toast at this point. Eventually I try the website through the phone browser and apparently my account is disabled?? What. I honestly can’t at this point. I’ll just use Grubhub or something I guess. Oh and the helpsite doesn’t have a link for the problem of disabled account.
