There has been a hold on my account since January. When I originally called to inquire about why the hold was still in my account in February, I was told that it was policy for them to leave a hold on accounts for 30 days if the vendor did not provide them with authorization to release it. I was also told that the hold would be automatically released in 30 days…and it wasn’t. I asked if they could contact the merchant, and they said no. I asked if I could reach out to the merchant to get the authorization to release the hood and send it to them, and they said yes. I contacted the vendor, JW Marriott Corporation, received the authorization release form, sent it to Venmo, and nothing happened. I was told that someone would follow-up with me or I would receive the hold removed….neither happened! I reached out to Venmo again last week and was given the runaround AGAIN! I was told last week that an engineer was aware of the issue, he was looking into it, and that someone would get back to me in the next day or two. That was Thursday, March 16th….it is Wednesday, March 22nd, and I haven’t heard from ANYONE….and the hood is still on my account!
I am sick and tired of chasing you all down to get my money. I WANT MY MONEY RELEASED TO ME TODAY. It is UNCONSCIONABLE that I have had to wait this long for my MONEY! You all wouldn’t let me hold on to your money this long, and I am not sure why you think it is okay to hold onto my money for this length of time. At this point, you are violating your written policies and agreements….you know, the ones posted on YOUR website. This is unfair business practices and heinous customer service. I WANT A RESOLUTION TODAY!
Venmo has failed in every possible way to do the right thing with regards to my account and their “temporary” freeze of my funds. I was promised my account would be reinstated and have it in writing from multiple account specialists at Venmo and yet my account and funds have been frozen since 08/20/2020 with no resolution or explanation as to why my account and funds remain fully accessible to me, but I cannot transfer my funds out of Venmo into one of jet linked accounts so the Venmo account can be permanently closed as I was promised and everyone I submit a request to have account reinstated I am just delayed and delayed with meaningless automated email responses that never even discuss or acknowledge my legitimate request to have my account reinstated so I can access MY FUNDS. I tell every single person I meet and know or ever have known to make sure and NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH OR ASSOCIATE WITH ANYTHING THAT IS REMOTELY RELATED TO GRNMO AS A COMPANY BECAUSE THEY LITERALLY WILL STEAL YOUR $$ with no explanation or reasoning that makes sense. Attorney key general please help me. BBB PLEASE HELP ME. What Venmo is doing is not just wrong and aweful it’s illegal.
I rated 2 stars because the emails you sent to me were not the truth.
I use venmo monthly to pay my rent at $625. I receive an email each saying it was paid. My bank statement says it was paid. However my landlord informed me he was only receiving $613.,not $625 for the past year. Therefore i owe $143.00 in back pay. Venmo never 1 time offered me this information. I did not select the payment protection that was offered. However each time it was some how selected. Venmo will not refund this money for my rent. And that is unacceptable. Now how do i ensure im making the correct choice and payment? How can i be sure it doesn’t happen again? And dont say by not selecting the option for payment protection because i never selected it the first time. $143.00 i have added to my rent this month because of your app. Who can afford paying extra on rent now days?
I have used Venmo on and off for years. I recently left my debit card at home so I use my Venmo card to make a purchase, but I ended up having the wrong Venmo card, i had the expired one so obviously I wasn’t able to make the purchase. I had transferred money from my bank account to my Venmo account so I transferred the money back and I ended up losing money from the service fee which was no big deal but now they’re saying I owe them $100. I tried disputing this with customer support and they told me that the funds were not available in my bank account. I verified with my bank that I did have the funds available, and I actually checked before I made the transfer initially. So I’m not paying them, and Venmo can quite literally kick rocks.
This is awful I needed to send money to my son. Needed to be done in a timely manner I have not been able to. I’ve had an account for several years. Used it often while my son was in college. When I contacted them to get help and support they they could not figure out why this happened they gave me a phone number that was to a spam #offering a $100.gift card in exchange for information when I asked what information they wanted before I’d agree he said I had to answer the questions in the order they come up first I hung up I have know idea how to get the money to my son they also suggested I try to resend later that there wasn’t anything wrong with my account that the system just does this sometimes totally unacceptable
Seamless app integration with iOS makes Juno a pleasure to use on my iPhone ❤️. Juno is, right now and in the foreseeable future, simply the best tool for on-ramping your US Dollars into crypto and DeFi. As long as you deposit $100 minimum on your Juno account there is no cash transfer fee, and ZeroHash isn't charging any fee to convert that into USDC !! The only charge you have to worry about is gas fee (fractions of a penny) if you bridge on-chain. I haven't even mentioned the 5% CASH bonus for depositing funds.. oh and your cash is FDIC insured $250,000. Thanks Juno team !!
Venmo deducted money from my account because someone who paid me for rent reported “fraud” to their bank. Venmo put a negative amount on my account when they had no right per their policy to reverse the payment. It was a payment sent to me directly and I showed evidence the individual still sent me money every month per our contract. Venmo refused to unfreeze my account and remove the negative amount because the bank believed ruled in the other persons favor. Terrible customer service and supporting fraud and also not following their own policies and procedures.
I have been waiting for 45 days now for Venmo to complete a transaction that was completed by the merchant within the three days of the purchase being placed. I have been waiting on my deposit to return back to my account. I waited the 30 days that they claim the merchant has to complete the payment. After than 30 days now it’s a technical issue. This problem has been with them from the beginning and they don’t want to take responsibility for it. I just want my money they should have returned back to me within the seven days of the purchase. It’s their mistake.
Continuously requesting tax information for a Alcoholics Anonymous group. There is none. Will not allow the account to be closed without contacting them. Each time we try to contact them I get an automated response that goes in circles. I volunteered my time and resources to help a nonprofit group. I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time trying to close the account or change it to a nonprofit/charity with no results. This, up until now, has been a great service. If you don’t need customer support, it is an acceptable way of getting funds to people.
Contacted Venmo about a transaction that fell through. I kept being sent to an instant messenger representative. The representative then sent my claim to the “account specialist”. Then the account specialist refused to mention anything about my claim except where to find and read the policies.
I have not been able to find a phone number to actually reach and talk to a real person. Venmo makes it IMPOSSIBLE to get any dispute settled. I will NEVER use Venmo for any transactions again.
