Finally, we are there! For the past couple of months, we have been hard at work to develop the initial version of our Ad Intelligence tool. Mobile Action started with the promise of a full-scale App Marketing tool and day by day we are striding closer to fulfilling that promise. With the beta version of our Ad Intelligence well on its way, we are extremely happy that we are driving closer to our end goal.
While our Ad Intelligence tool is nowhere close to being finished, it seems very promising so we wanted to share what we have created so far. In its current state, the tool has a limited data pool but every day we are adding new apps and their data to the system. Ad Intelligence first started with only access to Facebook Ads and with only 97 apps searchable. In the past two weeks, we widened it’s scope to also include AdMob alongside Facebook and increased the number of sample apps to 303 from 97.
So, let’s have a look at what we have created so far and glance a bit into the future.
Ad Intelligence Beta
Ad Intelligence currently consists of three sections; App Analysis, Top Advertisers and Apple Search Ads (which was launched last year).
The App Analysis section is probably the most interesting currently as it allows you to analyze the ad campaigns of an app on a selected platform. To provide an example we analyzed the most recent ad campaigns of Spotify on Facebook Ads.
When analyzing the ads for an app on various platforms, the App Analysis tool allows us to check a couple of different variables such as the platform, type of the ad (image or video), active devices, action (install now, sign up, website referral), first & last seen, duration and finally impressions.
These variables, all though very helpful are not the only things in production. In the coming weeks much more is expected to be added alongside the ever-widening scope of the data pool and platforms.
The Top Advertisers, section provides you with the list of the top publishers on a selected platform (i.e. Facebook, AdMob).
You can see the top advertisers which get the most number of impressions since we started to crawl the data.
You can view the top publishers as a chart as can be seen above or you can view the complete list with more detailed insights.
At this part of the top advertisers, you can see the most popular apps and alongside them, you can see how many impressions they are getting, their average rating, their category, and the publisher name. Just by clicking on the name of the apps you can see a more detailed analysis of their ad campaigns.
These are only the initial variables and data points we present in the Ad Intelligence platform and much more is to come. As with any product we create here at Mobile Action, we develop and improve our tools based on our users’ feedback and needs. That’s why if you feel like we should add/remove a new feature schedule a demo with us to provide your feedback or learn more about Ad Intelligence!
