App growth teams don’t work the way they did two years ago. Big or small, most of them now run their day through an AI tool. AI agents for marketing went from experiment to daily habit. Nobody stares down a wall of dashboards trying to spot what changed anymore. They hand the assistant the data and ask for action points.

That shift changed how fast teams think, but it didn’t change what the AI tools knows. An AI tool operates on what it’s been fed. Upload last week’s keyword export, and it will analyze last week brilliantly. Ask what happened this morning, which competitor just launched a custom product page, or where your rank moved overnight, and it’s reasoning from general knowledge, because nobody fed it today.

Now picture the same conversation where the assistant can go get the data itself. You ask where you rank; it checks. You ask which keywords are trending; it pulls the list. The analysis you already trust, running on live data instead of the last file someone uploaded.

The MobileAction MCP server makes that the default. It’s now available to all API customers.

What is the MobileAction MCP server?

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets AI tools call external data sources directly. The MobileAction MCP server exposes every endpoint in the MobileAction API as a tool your assistant can use on its own.

You ask a question in plain language. Your assistant picks the right endpoint, spends your credits, and shows you the data. No export, no upload, no request syntax.

The server itself is a translation layer. It converts your assistant’s tool call into an API request and passes it through. Nothing is stored or cached, and your data takes the same path it does over REST API.

App Store, Google Play Store and Apple Ads data through one MCP server with MobileAction

Because the server carries the full API catalog, it does the work of several single-purpose servers at once:

The MCP server is another door to the same API

The MCP server is a second way into the API you already have, and everything about your plan carries over:

  • Use the same API key you use with the REST API
  • Spend from the same credit balance, at the same published cost per endpoint
  • Call the same endpoints, from keyword rankings to CPP intelligence to your own Apple Ads reports

Each request costs the same, regardless of which door it comes through. An endpoint’s credit cost is identical over REST and MCP, and every response shows what was spent, your remaining balance and your reset time.

You don’t need the MCP server to use the API. If your team runs pipelines, dashboards or an internal platform over the REST API, nothing changes. The MCP server adds a path for questions that arise between reports.

Who it’s for

App growth marketers already ask their AI tool what to do next. Connected to the MCP server, the same conversation runs on live rank, creative and bid data. Rank checks, competitor creative pulls and paid keyword lookups become questions you type mid-analysis, not exports you prepare first.

Teams building with LLMs can give their agents, internal tools and reporting bots a data source they call on their own. Costs are published per endpoint, and each response reports how much was spent and how much remains.

Developers and data teams can prototype against the full catalog from inside their AI tool before committing anything to production code.

Larger teams can put the same live data behind every seat that has an AI tool open, drawing on one key and one credit balance.

How to use an AI agent for marketing data in three steps

  1. Use your existing API key. The same one you use with the REST API. You can check your balance any time, free.
  2. Add the connector. Your account manager sends the endpoint URL and setup instructions. Connection is one line in your client config, whether you use Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini.
  3. Ask in plain language. Your AI assistant does the rest.

Then the questions just work:

  • “Where does my app rank for ‘fitness tracker’ in the US, and who is above me?”
  • “Which advertisers gained the most impression share in Finance this month?”
  • “Pull every custom product page my top three competitors ran in the last 30 days.”
  • “How many credits do I have left?”

Why we built it

The workflow moved before the data did. Teams brought their analysis into AI tools because the reasoning is fast and the interface is a conversation. Agentic AI for marketing only works as well as the data behind it, and every one of those conversations started with a manual step: export the data, upload the file, then ask.

That step caps what the assistant can do. It limits every answer to the file’s date range, which means questions that arrive mid-meeting or mid-analysis wait for someone to fetch data first.

The MCP server removes the step. The data your team already pays for meets the tool where your team already thinks, and your credits meter every question transparently.

Frequently asked questions

Does the MobileAction MCP server connect to App Store Connect?

Yes. The MobileAction MCP server can read the keyword field from your App Store Connect profile for each locale, along with your dashboard and sales data. It’s a MobileAction product built on our API integration and is not Apple’s official App Store Connect MCP server.

Can I use the MCP server for App Store reviews?

Yes. Ask for any app’s reviews over a date range, or skip the reading and ask for the review analysis: rating statistics and the words users repeat most, for your app or a competitor’s.

How do I connect Claude to App Store data through MCP?

Add the MobileAction MCP server as a custom connector in Claude with the endpoint URL your account manager sends. The Claude MCP connection is a single line, and the same server is used in ChatGPT and Gemini.

What is the best MCP for marketing teams?

Judge any MCP server on three things: whether it covers the data you decide with, whether it shows the cost before it spends, and whether it works without code. The MobileAction MCP server covers rankings, reviews, creatives, custom product pages and Apple Ads performance, states the credit cost of every call up front and connects to the AI tool your team already uses.

API Solutions is a separate product from the MobileAction platform. If you already have API access, your account manager has the MCP setup instructions. If you’re a MobileAction customer without it, or not a customer yet, talk to us about API Solutions now.
